Episode Comparison:
"Misty Meets Her Match"

Dogasu @ 23:21 JST -- Now that I've revamped my page for the Den-geki! Pikachu comic I can now focus my attention on the next Japanese to English episode comparison, "Misty Meets Her Match!"
This episode is pretty heavy on the romance aspect (well, for this show at least) and so I'm sure a lot of people are wondering how much of that was in the original and how much of it was added in by 4Kids. Well, wonder no longer! The write-up also contains discussions about dub-only lore, challenges with adapting the Japanese language's tendency to be ambiguous, and giant prehistoric kaiju and so there's plenty for you to sink your teeth into.

Lyrics Archive: "Will" and "Let Me Battle"

Dogasu @ 23:17 JST -- Tonight's episode of Pocket Monsters (2023) debuted two brand new songs: Will, the new opening theme sung by the South Korean girl group IVE; and Let Me Battle, the new ending theme sung by Japanese TikToker 9Lana. Lyrics to both these songs have been added to the Lyrics Archive.
As always, the pages for boths songs contain the original lyrics as they appear in the original Japanese, a transliteration of those lyrics into our alphabet, and an English translation. For now I only have the TV edits of these two songs up but I'll be sure to add the full versions at a later date.
