Giratina and the Sky Bouquest, Shami
March 25th, 2008

Dogasu @ 09:21 JST -- I'm actually about to leave to visit the States for a little over a week, but I wanted to post this before I went.

So I revamped the Movies & Special Guide to the new layout.  I've also provided a major update to the Giratina and the Sky Bouquet, Shami page in the form of plot information, character bios, and miscellaneous other goodies.  The only thing I didn't update in that section was the behind-the-scenes guide, and that's only because I can't seem to find a link to the location hunting blog anywhere on the main page.  Maybe they took it down?

I've also added a new episode title to the List of Anime Episodes.  Apparently it's going to be an exciting episode based on the summaries going around...

I'm bringing my laptop with me to the States, so hopefully I'll be able to update this thing at least once while I'm over there.

DONE
March 17th, 2008

Dogasu @ 21:55 JST -- Every single file in the Episode Comparisons section has been converted to the new layout.  That only took...almost an entire month.  *sigh*  Next up...the Movies & Specials Guide!

I've also updated the List of Anime Episodes with the newest Diamond & Pearl title.  Exciting stuff!

Finally...is anyone else a bit disturbed by the fact that the Pokemon DP manga is scheduled to be released in the US in a little over two weeks yet we still don't have any cover art?  Wouldn't you think we'd have something by now?

In the meantime, here's the Japanese cover art:

I keep on knockin' em out
March 15th, 2008

Dogasu @ 12:28 JST -- The Jouto Region and Orange Island comparisons have all been converted to the new layout.  There weren't that many files in each section (there are a pathetic four pages in the Orange Islands section), so that's why it didn't take too long.  I'll start work on the Kanto comparisons soon...after that, the largest section of the site will be finished and everything else will be a piece of cake.

I've also created a page for the TV Specials and ANA Shorts Region 2 DVDs.  I've also tweaked the "Seven-Eleven DVDs" page since calling them "Seven-Eleven DVDs" appears to have been a misnomer.  According to the official site for the upcoming Diamond & Pearl DVDs, the discs coming out next week will be available at convenience stores (not just Seven-Eleven!) and grocery stores all over the country.

I'll end this post by linking a MAD I found on YouTube.  This one features the first opening theme to the first series, Mezase Pokemon Master, placed against footage from mid-90's anime G Gundam.  It's extremely well done (in my opinion) and is even funnier if you know what the song's saying:

Until the next update!

The Houen Region
March 12th, 2008

Dogasu @ 22:44 JST -- So I've just converted the Houen episode comparisons to the new layout.  With 152 html files, it's the largest single section of my site.

I can't wait to be finished with these layout updates.

I'll post another DVD page with the next update to make it not so boring.  In the meantime, have a look at this creepy Pikachu from an Iraqi kids' show.

Additional Region 2 DVD information
March 10th, 2008

Dogasu @ 16:41 JST -- I hope you guys in the States are enjoying your Smash Brothers game.  It doesn't look likely that I'll be able to get the game anytime soon, so I'm insanely jealous of each and every one of you.

But enough of that!  Today's update is a lot of smaller updates combined into one.  First off - I've changed the Pokémon Chronicles episode comparisons over to the new layout.  I cannot freakin' wait until I have that entire Episode Comparisons section converted, let me tell you.

Next, I have a new Region 2 DVD page up.  This one is dedicated to the DVDs sold exclusively through Seven-Eleven convenience stores in Japan.  How's that for information you won't find on any other English language website?

I've also added the US DVD artwork for "The Rise of Darkrai" up on the comparison for the movie.  I actually like the fact that Brock is on the cover since Takeshi is nowhere to be found on the Region 02 DVD cover.

The newest spoiler-ific episode titles have been added to the Episode List

As for news...Season 11 is supposed to premiere on Cartoon Network on April 12th, so that means I only have a few weeks to play catch-up.  Also, the second Mystery Dungeon anime special is rumored to be airing on Cartoon Network the weekend before the games' April 21st release date, so that's pretty cool if it ends up being true.  Also, "The Rise of Darkrai" DVD is scheduled to come out in May 27th.

I want to pick up the pace with these boring layout updates so I can resume working on the comparisons for the remaining Season 10 episodes.

PS.  My FTP uploading program sucks.

"The Rise of Darkrai!"
March 6th, 2008

Dogasu @ 06:53 JST -- I have no idea what it took so long to finish this, but here it is:  the comparison to "The Rise of Darkrai"  Hope you enjoy!

I'd update with some news (and there's a lot of it that I haven't covered), but I'll have to save that for when I'm not heading out the door to go to work.
