Summary Two (posted January 15th, 2020) A boy named John has been living in the hospital ever since he was little. He's been a huge fan of the Champion Dande from the time he first saw a Pokémon battle broadcast on TV. His dream is to one day watch a battle with Dande from inside a stadium. Our story starts when Chairman Rose of the Pokémon League comes to visit John. The main character will change in every episode but everything will be connected by a single Flying Taxi. Things like the dreams of young boys and the secret struggles of Gym Leaders will fly forth through the Galar Region today as well.

The series was first announced to the public on Friday, December 13th, 2019. The limited series was marketed quite differently based on what region of the world you're in. In Japan, a list of staff and cast was provided before the series' debut; in the U.S., this information was absent but fans instead got to learn that the series would consist of seven five-minute episodes, a fact the initial Japanese promotional material left out. After the release of Episode 4 "Early-Evening Waves," the official Japanese Pokémon Twitter issued an apology for getting fans' hopes up by featuring Pokémon in the episode that you cannot currently get in the Pocket Monsters Sword & Shield video games. The release of Episode 5 was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result the debuts of Episodes 6 and 7 were also pushed back to a month later than expected.
