"Tactics Theatrics!!"
December 30th, 2006

Here's the last comparison for the year:  "Tactics Theatrics!!

All in all, I've completed 74 episode comparisons since the start of 2006 (76 if you count the two episodes 4Kids didn't dub).  If I didn't have tons of real world stuff getting in my way and a slow-ass computer, I could have topped 100 easily, so I'm kind of bummed out about that.  Still, 74 is nothing to sneeze at, and I hoped you enjoyed reading through them all.  I'll continue working through the following weeks to get the other 30 episodes that have been dubbed up for you guys...after that, I'll start redoing those early Kanto comparisons, pictures and all.  And then - Whirl Cup episodes.

See you next year!

"On Olden Pond"
December 28th, 2006

I did a comparison for "On Olden Pond" for you guys.  I hope you enjoy.

I'll try to get "Tactics Theatrics!!" ready for tomorrow, but I can't make any promises because I may be spending the day with a friend who I haven't seen in about a year or so.  If not, I'll try to have it up early Saturday morning.  After that, I probably won't get the chance to get another one done until the new year since I'll be at my mom's house this weekend for New Year's celebrations.  I'm having to do all the new comparisons from her computer anyway since mine is still agonizingly slow, so I'll still be working on the site...just don't expect any of the new comparisons to be posted until the 1st or the 2nd.

Also...I was sent a message saying that I had mispelled the filename of my new section, Recycled Characters.  I had it spelled recylcing when it should have been recycling.  I've since corrected the error, so I'd like to thank Blackjack Gabbiani for spotting that for me.

As far as that section goes, I've received a LOT of great finds, but unfortunately, I don't have the DVD's for half the ones I was given.  I may pay my local Blockbuster a visit to see if they have any of the Pokemon DVD's I can get some screencaps from so that all you guys' effort won't be wasted.

"Weekend Warrior"
December 26th, 2006

I hope everyone had a good Christmas yesterday.  I know I certainly got plenty of great presents to distract me from my duties to this website.  I was, however, able to tear myself away from things like Trauma Center for the DS and my Astro Boy DVD set to get the comparison for "Weekend Warrior" completed for you guys.

I plan to have the next comparison up on Thursday...I would do it tomorrow, but my family is coming up to visit, so I'll be spending the whole day entertaining them.  See you Thursday!

New Feature!
December 25th, 2006

Merry Christmas everyone.  Here's your present:  a little feature I like to call "Recycled Characters."  It's nothing that will take you any amount of time to read, but it's something I hope to be able to make into a huge archive with you guys' help

Also...um...if you aren't doing anything, why not take a second to hit that Top 50 button at the top of the page?  I know I said before that I don't really care about rankings or anything like that, but what can I say?  I enjoy a nice little ego boost every now and then.

Either tomorrow or Wednesday I plan to have a new comparison up.

"May's Egg-cellent Adventure"
December 22nd, 2006

This will probably be the last update before my big Christmas update.

Anyway, I've got the comparison for "May's Egg-cellent Adventure" up.  The sheer number of these left to do is pretty daunting...hopefully, after the holidays, I'll be able to start posting these on a daily basis like I did in Summer 2005 when I caught up on all the Advanced Challenge episodes I missed.  Oh, the memories.

Also, I can't find the newest Nintendo Power anywhere, so I'll resume my search after the whole Christmas rush is over.

Also, as far as the Manaphy movie goes...I spent a little too much on Christmas this year to be able to afford the Japanese DVD, so I won't be getting that until after the new year.  When it does, I plan to add a bunch of new content to that movie's section of the site.

See you guys here on Monday.

Dialga vs. Palkia
December 20th, 2006

The DP Movie 01 section is up.  I gathered as much information as possible, so anything that can be known about this film has been posted on that page.  Enjoy!

You'll also notice that I've listed the PUSA cast as the dub cast for the movie.   While this is in no way confirmed, anyone with half a brain can see that this is the cast that's going to be used when the movie is dubbed.

The Manaphy movie comes out on DVD in a couple of days, so after I get that ordered and sent to my place, I'll start revamping that section as well.

I also promise that I haven't forgotten about getting some more episode comparisons out.

In addition to the movie section, I've added some new titles to the Episode List for D/P.

I hope to have a summary for the final chapter of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon manga up by Friday...assuming I can secure a copy of the February issue of Nintendo Power, that is.

What?  An actual content update!?
December 15th, 2006

So I've finally gotten around to updating the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - Ginji's Rescue Team manga section.  I've added two new chapter summaries, a bunch of new character bios, and the cover art for both the Japanese and the English versions of the graphic novels!

I'll have DP Movie 01 stuff up before long...also, I hope to have a new feature up by Christmas, so be on the look-out for that.

Thanks for the e-mails!
December 8th, 2006

So here's the update made by info gotten from various e-mails sent to me over the last few months.

First of all, the General Edits page has been updated thanks to Arkasha.  I've also added some clichés to The Grand List of Pokemon Video Game Clich
és...thanks goes out to all of you who contributed to that list.  As far as comparisons go, I've finally taken out the Laplace reference in the "Holiday Hi-Jynx" comparison because, in hindsight, the fact that Lapras is based on Pierre-Simon, Marquis de Laplace really doesn't have anything to do with anything.  I've also made a note about the "Team Right" comment in the comparison for "Sweet Baby James."

DVD Guide
December 5th, 2006

So my big test is over and my JET application is in the mail, so everything's great now.  I feel a burden lifted similar to the sensation you feel when you finish the last exam of the semester, and it's great to actually have free time again.

Today's update is to the DVD Guide.  You may have noticed a few posts ago that I just bought a whole crap load of DVD's.  Well, I haven't had time to actually go through all these discs, so I'll have to hold off on that for a while.  In the meantime, I've added information about a bunch of the Advanced Battle discs, two of which actually have *gasp* humans on the cover!  These discs cover all the way into the first two episodes of Ash's journey through the Battle Frontier, so that's exciting if you like to collect the DVD's to get screencaps from (like me).  I've also added information about the Indigo Box set and I've broken up the episodes on the Master Quest sets to reflect which episode is on which disc.

I'm working on a new feature using screencaps taken from the DVD's I've bought, but that won't be ready for another couple of days.

As for those cliches I asked for...I'll get to those in the next update.  I should also have some more Mystery Dungeon manga stuff up soon.

Almost there...
December 1st, 2006

My big test is this Sunday, so it won't be long before I can return to updating this episode on a regular basis again.  Look here for an update on Tuesday (since I'll be using Monday to recover/clean/get everything back in order).

While you're waiting...The Grand List of Pokemon Video Game Clichés hasn't been updated since Diamond and Pearl came out.  Now I don't have the new games, so I can't really add anything myself, but I know a lot of you do.  If you have something to add to that list, shoot me an e-mail and let me know.  I know I haven't really checked my e-mail in forever, but I plan to go through them with both guns blazin' on Monday, so if you want me to add your idea to the list, try to have it to me by then.
