New comparison
November 25th, 2006

Well, I didn't get a manga summary or a DVD Guide update for you guys, but I did manage to get a comparison for "Wheel of Frontier" finished.  If you're a fan of Sarah Natochenny, this may not be a comparison you want to read.

I've also updated the Episode Guide for both Battle Frontier and Diamond & Pearl

I spent entirely too much money at the DeepDiscountDVD sale, but when my Japanese test is over, I'll at least have some nice DVD's to take screencaps from.

Update coming tomorrow
November 24th, 2006

I don't have time to do a proper update now, but I should have something for you guys tomorrow.  In the meantime, I have some news about when the final episode of Pokémon Chronicles will be airing in the U.S.  Per a recent Cartoon Network press release:

* Monday, Dec. 11, at 7:30 p.m.: Pokémon Chronicles: "Pikachu's
Winter Vacation - Christmas Night and Kanga Games" - Pikachu and friends are up to Christmas mischief while they are home alone. Then they show a baby Kangaskhan how to play in the snow. Encore presentations: Thursday, Dec, 21, at 7:30 a.m.; Friday, Dec. 22, at 12 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 24, at 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Expect a manga summary and an update to the DVD guide tomorrow.  I'll be taking my big Japanese test a week from Sunday, so the drought of updates this site has been experiencing will come to an end real soon.

CN, please stop
November 14th, 2006

So Cartoon Network has updated their schedule to include the premieres of four more episodes in the month of November.  Starting November 27th, the network will be airing a new episode a night for four nights.  The new titles have been added to the Episode List.  Thanks to Duke, once again, for bringing these titles to my attention.

These new titles brings us a total of 31 dubbed titles.  When we head into December, we'll only have 21 episodes left in the season.  These episodes will have to last us from the first of December until the start of the new season (which will likely be in September).  I really wish Cartoon Network would just calm the f_ck down with these premieres.  Yes, I know the show is getting you monster ratings.  But when you run out of episodes in a month or two because you burned through them too fast, what are you going to do?  Will people continue tuning in for the reruns?  Will fans' interest remain until the premiere of Season 10?  The network's taking a real gamble right now, and I hope it pays off for them.

I also wanted to let you guys know about a massive sale going on at DeepDiscountDVD right now.  From November 10th until the 18th (this coming Saturday), everything is going to be 20% off.  Yes, everything.  Now their prices are already crazy cheap (you can score a Master Quest box set for a measly $26.39), but when you add the 20% discount, it the prices go down even further.  You can now get a Master Quest box set, brand new, for $21.11 a pop...I dare you to find a better price than that.  If there's a time to buy Pokemon DVD's, now would be it.

The promotion doesn't work for anything that doesn't come out yet, so you can't order, say, the Kanto Box Set and expect to get the discount.  You'll need to enter a code ("SUPERSALE") when you check out to get the discount and you can only use it once, so you might want to buy everything in one order.  I've used the site before and have been very satisfied with their service, so it's not some nothing site that you guys should be worried about.

I hope to have a new comparison up tomorrow.  Maybe.

Update coming soon
November 13th, 2006

So you may be wondering why I haven't updated this site in a long time.

For one thing, I'm taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test in about three weeks.  This test is basically a way to show employers what level your Japanese is at so they can tell whether or not you have the skills needed for whatever job you're applying for.  I took the Level 3 test last year and passed, so this year I'm aiming for the Level 2 test.  The thing is, I'm nowhere near ready to take this test, so the next three weeks or so will consist of me cramming as much Japanese into my head as possible.  Do I think I'll actually pass the test?  No, not at all.  But, I'd like to try anyway.

It also doesn't help that this month is like the busiest video game month EVER.  I've already gotten sucked into Final Fantasy V Advance and Elite Beat Agents, and I also have Final Fantasy III and the Nintendo freakin' Wii as distractions to look forward to.  My free time is *shot*.

And to top it all off, I've had family drama this past week that sucked up a lot of my free time in additon to a novel of a JET application to go through.

I apologize for neglecting this site so much, and I'll try to do better about getting updates out every few days.  Don't expect anything big this month as far as updates go...the best I can offer you guys is a quick comparison here or a short manga summary there.  I know you guys have been super patient lately, and I really appreciate it...hopefully I'll be able to make up for it after I get this big test out of the way.

As far as an update goes...all I've got today are a couple of new episode titles.
