Only five more Chronicles episodes to go!
August 30th, 2006

I've added the comparison for "Those Darn Electabuzz!" up.  It's actually dubbed pretty decently, by Chronicles standards, so it didn't take as long to write up as some of the other comparisons have.  I've also added those comparison pictures of Roger and that ice cream selling Team Rocket agent to the "Luvdisc is a Many Splendored Thing" comparison.  I wish I had a better quality screencap of the ice cream guy, and I'll replace it with a DVD cap as soon as those come out stateside.  Finally, I've posted the lyrics to Marching March for you guys.

I'll update the TV Schedule sometime tomorrow.

Super Princess Peach is quite an addictive game
August 25th, 2006

The main update for today is the comparison for "Luvdisc is a Many Splendored Thing."  After you look at that, check out the DVD Guide for the tenth anniversary discs, which has been updated with the cover art for Volumes 05-07 and the feature pokemon for the final three volumes.  I have no idea what three episodes they could choose for the Mudkip volume...

Finally, I've updated the TV Schedule with all sorts of new information.  Two interesting things here; first of all, it looks like Boomerang won't be showing "The March of the Exeggutor Squad" for some reason.  Secondly, the September 24th episode of Pokemon Sunday looks like one to look out for, since it should reveal a bunch of new information about the new series that starts four days later.

Tons of Updates
August 16th, 2006

Hey everyone.  I have an insane amount of updates for you today.

First of all, I have the comparison up for "Putting the Air Back in Aerodactyl."  I also changed the "Johto Photo Finish" comparison to remove the rumor that Kobayashi Yuko leaving the show is the reason Shigeru left at the end of the first series.  After that, check out the DVD Guides for the Tenth Anniversary DVD's and the Advanced Battle DVD's.  And yes, I don't understand why they chose the episodes they did for the Blastoise volume.  Thanks goes out to Duke for brining that information to my attention.

I've also updated the Episode List with new Japanese titles as well as the titles for the first five episodes of Season 9.  I think it sucks that PUSA is continuing 4Kids' tradition of bad episode puns, but it's a minor enough thing to ignore.  Finally, I've updated the TV Schedule for the first time in three months.  That thing took me about an hour to do, so I hope you all find it useful.

Finally, this happened a few days ago, but I felt like I had to address it here:  Suzuoki Hirotaka, the voice actor for Sakaki (Giovanni for you dub fans), passed away from lung cancer this past Sunday.  In addition to providing the voice of the Rocket-Dan boss, he portrayed the roles of Tenshinhan in the Dragon Ball series, Bright Noah in the Mobile Suit Gundam series, and Saitou Hajime in Rurouni Kenshin

Many fans wonder if Suzuoki's death will mean that Sakaki will be written out of the show, but I guarantee that won't happen.  There's this myth that fans swear by that says the Japanese don't like to replace voice actors because it's disrespectful, but that's a load of bull.  I can name plenty of examples of Japanese anime producers replacing old actors with newer ones, including some examples within Pocket Monsters.  If the anime producers want to continue to feature Sakaki in the show, they'll find another voice actor, end of story.

"Journey to the Starting Line"
August 9th, 2006

I've got "Journey to the Starting Line" up for you guys.  I can't wait until I'm through with Chronicles...

It's been a while
August 6th, 2006

I really meant to have this up earlier because I have this fear of falling behind with the Chronicles comparisons, but I've been really busy this week.  So, without further ado:  "Training Daze."

I've also updated the Episode List with some new Japanese titles.

Taking a small break from Chronicles
August 1st, 2006

My original plan was to have this comparison up last night to commemorate Pokémon being broadcast on Boomerang, but I couldn't have it finished in time for the network premiere.  So, here it is:  "The Problem with Paras."  I realize that the file names is 046.html when it's actually Episode 044, and I do plan to fix that in the future.  But for right now, that's too much work for me to get into.

My spellcheck suggested "Hiroshima" for "Hiroshi"
July 29th, 2006

"Celebi and Joy" is now up.  This comparison's more interesting than others because there are more than just text cover-ups here.

I've also updated the DVD Guide with info about the Lucario DVD, the Season One Box Set (it retails for $39.98), and rather odd release:  Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie and Pokémon The First Movie two-in-one set.  I guess because one bad dub isn't enough?

Finally, I've added some information about the English cast on "The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon" page.
