Screenshots from the original theatrical version, taken from the American Mewtwo Returns DVD release, are on the left while ones from the Kanzenban version, taken from the Japanese DVD release of Mewtwo Strikes Back!, are on the right. The analog sparkle effect's been replaced with CG sparkles.

The speed at which Hitokage fades away has been altered as well.




The pan shot is faster in the original version as seen on the American DVD. The background is different here as well.

Dr. Fuji doesn't look as calm and collected in the newer version.
