Screenshots from the original theatrical version, taken from the American Mewtwo Returns DVD release, are on the left while ones from the Kanzenban version, taken from the Japanese DVD release of Mewtwo Strikes Back!, are on the right. In the original version that's on the Mewtwo Returns DVD, the sky changes colors twice.  In the Japanese DVD release, the sky only changes color once.
