Welcome to the The Extreme Speed Genosect and the Awakening of Myuutwo page of the Manga section!

The Extreme Speed Genosect and the Awakening of Myuutwo (劇場版ポケットモンスターベストウイッシュ 神速のゲノセクトミュウツー覚醒) is an adaptation of the movie of the same name.  Satoshi and his friends are visiting the Pokemon Hills area of New Tork City when five Genosect, all led by a extremely speedy Red Genosect, appear!  As the three million year old pokemon begin to attack our heroes, the legendary pokemon Myuutwo appears!  Can Satoshi and his friends stop the pokemon's rampage and restore peace to New Tork City?

Inoue Momota (井上桃太) is the writer / artist of the adaptation.  This is the fourth year in a row she's provided the manga adaptation of a Pocket Monsters film; she also did the manga versions of The Illusionary Conqueror, Zorro'ark, Victini and the Black Hero, Zekrom, and Kyurem vs. The Sacred Swordsman Keldeo.

The first chapter appeared in the May 2013 issue of CoroCoro Comics (on sale April 15th, 2013) and was 80 pages long.  A second chapter appeared in the June 2013 issue of CoroCoro Comics (on sale May 15th, 2013) and was 50 pages long.  A third chapter appeared in the July 2013 (on sale June 15th, 2013) issue.

The graphic novel was released on July 13th, 2013, the same day as the movie on which it was based.
