Liko is in her room, getting ready to head out the door. She adjusts her hairpin and checks that she has her pendant on her before turning to a Puppimocchi and saying "Alright, off I go!" As she takes her first steps on her new adventure, the narrator tells us that Liko is setting off on a journey from the Paldea Region to head out into a world in which she's sure to have all sorts of new encounters!

Liko is in her room, getting ready to head out the door. She adjusts her hairpin and checks that she has her pendant on her before turning to a Puppimocchi and saying "Alright, off I go!" Liko, a girl from the Paleda Region, has come to the Sekiei Academy in the Kanto Region to search for what it is she wants to do. One of the first tasks is getting her very own Partner Pokémon, a capricious Grass-Type named Nyahoja. The two get off to a rocky start but Liko is determined to make it work somehow, opening up and sharing her feelings with Nyahoja until her Pokémon starts to realize she has a good heart. One night, a mysterious man named Amegeo appears at Liko's dorm, claiming to have been sent to take her to some undisclosed location. He adds that she should make sure to bring the mysterious pendant her grandmother gave to her as well. Liko finds the whole thing way too suspicious and so she takes the pendant, climbs out the window, and makes a run for it. After a quick scuffle with one of Amegeo's henchmen, Zir, Liko comes face-to-face again with Amegeo and his partner Pokémon Soublades. It seems like Liko has nowhere to run when, all of a sudden, a man named Friede rides in on his Lizardon to save the day...? Friede and Amegeo start to battle it out while Liko attempts to use the commotion to sneak off. A poorly timed jump puts Liko right in the crosshairs of a stray Psycho Cut attack but the young girl is saved when her pendant produces an orb of light that shields her from the attack!? What's going on?

A mysterious turtle-like Pokémon
briefly appears in front of Liko before both the orb and Pokémon
abruptly vanish, sending Liko plummeting toward the ground below!
Luckily, Friede's Lizardon swoops down and catches the young girl in
its arms before climbing back up into the skies and away from the
academy. They leave Amegeo behind and fly over to Friede’s flying
airship, the Brave Asagi. She meets the ship’s crew and notices the
Pokémon onboard all seem to be happy, letting her know that this
group maybe isn’t so bad after all…? Suddenly the ship's radar picks up
both a horrible thunderstorm as well as the Explorers, Amegeo and his
henchmen, closing in! As everyone rushes around the ship, trying to
figure out what to do next, Amegeo sneaks his way into the cabin where
Liko's hiding and forces her to come with him! Once they make it out
onto the deck, however, Friede steps forward to stop them. Friede calls
out his other Pokémon, “Captain” Pikachu, while Amegeo uses his
Soublades again. Their battle is soon interrupted when Liko's Nyahoja
steps up and launches a powerful Leafage attack that defeats Friede’s
opponent but also causes a crack to open in the dome-like shield
surrounding the battlefield. The stormy winds pull Nyahoja into the air
and so Amegeo quickly calls on his Amorga to grab Liko's
Pokémon. The strong winds are making it too dangerous for the
Explorers to continue their attack and so they retreat, taking Liko's
Nyahoja with them.

The crew of the Brave Asagi, a group known as the Rising Volteccers, split up in search of Liko's kidnapped Nyahoja. Friede doesn’t want Liko to get involved since it might get dangerous but she joins the search party anyway. The ship's chef Murdock has his Puppy Pokémon Iwanko use its keen sense of smell to pinpoint the exact building where Nyahoja's being held hostage. Friede soon realizes Liko's not going to just sit back and wait and so he devises a plan where she can help him get her Pokémon back. First, Friede enters the Explorers' hideout from the front door and challenges Amegeo to a Pokémon battle. If Friede wins they’ll have to give Nyahoja back, but if Amegeo wins then both Liko and the pendant will have to be handed over to the Explorers. Next, Liko goes deeper into the building while Amegeo's busy with his battle to continue the search for her Pokémon. She soon comes across both Nyahoja and Conia but is able to defeat the henchman in battle with another powerful Leafage attack. Finally, Liko makes a run for it with her Pokémon. As soon as Friede realizes the rescue operation's a success he calls off the battle and have the Rising Volt Teccers make a run for it. Back on the Brave Asagi, Liko is amazed at what all just happened; she's just had her very own adventure! Who knows what else lies ahead for Liko and Nyahoja!? To be continued on TV!
