Chapter One Cover

Welcome to the Volcanion and the Tricky Magearna page of the Manga section!

Pokemon The Movie XY&Z "Volcanion and the Tricky Magearna" (ポケモン・ザ・ムービーXY&Z 「ボルケニオンと機巧のマギアナ」) is an adaptation of the movie of the same name. The Mythical Pokemon Volcanion suddenly appears in front of Satoshi and Pikachu in the Azoth Kingdom. Volcanion calls out for Magearna, saying that it's come there to rescue it. Just who is this "Magearna" that Volcanion seems so eager to help!?

The manga adaptation is being drawn by Kemon Kawamoto (河本けもん). This is Mr. Kawamoto's first Pocket Monsters manga.

A five-page sneak peek of the manga was printed in the March 2016 issue of CoroCoro Comics. Part One was printed in the April 2016 issue of CoroCoro Comics (on sale March 15th, 2016) and the manga has had a new chapter debut every month since then. Three chapters have debuted to date with a fourth chapter due to come out in the July 2016 issue of CoroCoro Comics.
