Oh'uchi Suigun

The Seven NightStar of Wishing, Jirachi manga adaptation was written and drawn by Suigun Ouchi (大内水軍). In 1998, Mr. Ouchi quit his 24-year run as a worker at the "Comi-Comi Studio" bookstore to become a lecturer at the Chinese Newspaper Information Culture Center (中国新聞情報文化センター). He has been working as a manga artist, together with his mentors Saharu Abeha (阿部 雅治) and Daitarou Nishihara (西 原 大太郎), and has managed to make a name for himself in a short amount of time. Ouchi-sensei has won a number of "Best New Manga Artist" awards from the likes of Monthly Shounen Jump (March 1999 for The Earth's Representative Number Four Batter (地球代表4 番打者)), Shogakukan (June 2000, for (風 の蹴り丸)), and Hakusen Yang Animal Comics (September 2000, Guy Flag (ガ イフラッグ))

Suigun Ouchi made his official debut as a mangaka in the September 2000 issue of CoroCoro Comics with his work The Hot Judou Spirit Ippon! (熱 き柔道魂イッポン!柔郎太). Since then he has been busy creating new manga every year, including Muscle King (マッ スルキング) and The Seven Night Star of Wishing, Jirachi (七 夜の願い星・ジラーチ).

Suigun Ouchi has an official website, which can be viewed here. The website features a complete list of works and a galleries for his two Pocket Monsters manga, The Seven Night Star of Wishing, Jirachi and Snatcher Leo.
