Whatever, spellcheck, "aaaaAaAAAAaaaahHHhHH!!!!!1!!1!!!!" is too a word
November 30th, 2012

Dogasu @ 06:50 JST -- Episode N aaaaAaAAAAaaaahHHhHH!!!!!1!!1!!!!

So, I've been in Japanese study mode for the past two weeks and haven't really had the free time to update this site.  Sorry!  I did manage to write up the summaries for the two Pocket Monsters Special chapters that came out this month, though.

Pokemon Fan Issue 26 CoroCoro Ichiban! January 2013

The Pokemon Fan chapter (the one on the left) is the first half of a two part story that's part of the celebration for the series' 15th anniversary.  It also reveals that Kusaka Hidenori and Yamamoto Satoshi have been trolling us for the past two years in regards to a certain fan-theory-becoming-canon thing.  ALSO, those eyes in the background of the title page there?  I totally thought they were Dokucale eyes when I first saw them.  They're obviously not (and if you read the summary, you can figure out whose eyes they're supposed to be), but wouldn't that be ridiculous if they were?

The CoroCoro Ichiban! chapter (the one on the right) is also good, though that title page is a bit misleading.  Musha only ever appears in the chapter in a dream sequence, but this page makes it look like it's returning to its trainer!

My Japanese test is on Sunday, so I should hopefully be able to start updating again after that.

"Battle for the Underground!"
November 14th, 2012

Dogasu @ 10:30 JST -- About a month after my last comparison, I present "Battle for the Underground!," the conclusion to the "Battle Subway" storyline and the fourteenth season of the English dub.

"Battle for the Underground!"

My current plan, comparisons-wise, is to go back and finish out the rest of Season 14.  I've kind of been all over the place with that season, so I'm going to go back and start filling in the various gaps (BW 007 - BW 013, BW 017 - 021, the two Diamond & Pearl specials that never got dubbed, and BW 023 - BW 035) before moving on.

And also, some new DVDs came out this week
November 9th, 2012

Dogasu @ 06:45 JST -- Wow, the last few weeks of October / this first week of November have been insanely busy for me.  Hopefully things are calm enough now that I can start updating this site on a more regular basis now.

So anyway, here's the summary for the chapter of Pocket Monsters Special that was printed in the December 2012 issue of CoroCoro Ichiban!

CoroCoro Ichiban! December 2012

An issue of Pokemon Fan is coming out this month (on the 20th, to be exact), so we'll be getting two chapters of Pocket Monsters Special in November instead of just one.

I've also, randomly, decided to go through one of my old Pokémon Advanced Challenge DVDs and add in the edited screenshots from the episode "Pros and Con Artists!" that I never got around to uploading.  They basically consist of Sonansu without a pipe and a bunch of wine glasses changed to regular glasses.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to get better screencaps of the Japanese version of the episode at this time.

I'm in the process of translating an interview with Yuyama Kunihiko that I hope to be able to share with you guys soon.  Can't wait!
