Comparison time
March 27th, 2005

"Balance of Power" and "A Six Pack Attack!" are up.  But before you look at those, look at the images from the edited versions of "A Double Dilemma" and "Love, Petalburg Style" that I've just added.  They'll be replaced by DVD screencaps when the DVD's with these episodes on them are released.

Whether or not I update tomorrow will depend on how much of my various school projects I can get done.

Lucario says hi
March 25th, 2005

I've updated the AG Movie 03 page with as much information as I could find on the Internet.  And you know what?  I think I now have more information about the Lucario movie on my site than I do about the Jirachi movie.  Crazy, huh?  I'll have to fix that at some point.

I've also made updates to the Episode List and TV Schedule.

I'll try to work on the comparison for "Balance of Power" at some point today so that I'll be on track for "A Six Pack Attack" tomorrow morning.

"Love, Petalburg Style!"
March 12th, 2005

Here's the episode that premiered earlier today, "Love, Petalburg Style!"  Whee.

I may not be able to update tomorrow due to me trying to cram a week's worth of homework into one day, but I'll try to update with something.

"Can't Beat the Heat"
March 11th, 2005

I've got the "Can't Beat the Heat" comparison up.  I've also updated the Episode List and TV Schedule to bring those up to date.

I have no idea what I'll update with tomorrow, or if I'll even update at all.  It all depends on how much of my spring break homework I can get done between now and then.

"The Ties that Bind" Comparison
March 10th, 2005

I would have had this up earlier tonight, but I had a few errands to do that prevented me from posting this earlier.

Here's "The Ties that Bind."  It's the episode where Satoshi and Shigeru begin their Jouto League battle, and there were a few edits worth mentioning.

Tomorrow is "Can't Beat the Heat!"  As for Saturday?  Eh...I haven't decided, but I'm pretty sure I'll at least compare the new episode that airs that day.

"Tie One On" Comparison
March 9th, 2005

My three-day Jouto League comparison marathon begins today with "Tie One On."  It's not my best work, so I may go back later and revise it.  Tomorrow will be "The Ties that Bind," and Friday will be "Can't Beat the Heat!"

In other news, I was able to get the "Destiny Deoxys" DVD the other day.  I haven't had the chance to go through the movie again for comparison purposes, but I can tell you from my quick scan of the DVD that all of the scenes cut out of the Kids' WB! airing have been restored to the DVD.  Yes, even the Musashi butt scene.  One thing I did notice, though, was the fact that the music was changed during the scene with Ash and Tory eating in the park.  Originally, there was an instrumental version of Lovely Boy playing, but in the dub there's an instrumental version of This Side of Paradise playing instead.  This change could have been made for consistency's sake, but I'm willing to bet that there was some legal issue preventing 4Kids from using the song for the movie, which is why a new song had to be created.

Another one
March 8th, 2005

I did another Episode Comparsion, this time for the start of 4Kids' sixth season, "Address Unown."

Tomorrow I plan to have a comparison for the Johto League episode "Tie One On" up.

Henshin A-Go Go!
March 7th, 2005

Hey, the comparison for "A Double Dilemma" is up.  I've also thrown in "Gotta Dance" because I've been meaning to do that comparison for a while now.

So I actually have some new comparisons up.  That's unusual.  I actually realize that I have a lot of them left to do, and my current dilemma is figuring out which one to do next.  I'm trying to figure out if I should do some more of the final Jouto League episodes or if I should focus on the more recent Advanced Challenge episodes...in any case, I won't be able to tackle another one until Tuesday afternoon, so send me an e-mail before then to let me know which one you guys want to see me compare next.

In other news, I went and bought Donkey Konga the other day, and at the same time I rented Viewtiful Joe.  Now I'm thinking I should have done it the other way around.  I remember playing Donkey Konga (and then later, Donkey Konga 2) in video game stores while I was in Japan and having a blast, so I expected to have the same fun with the American version.  Unfortunately, the song selection in the American version...well, it sucks.  Most of the songs are video game tunes, inoffensive rock songs, or nursery songs that sound like they're being sung by the Kid Bopz kids.  Oh yeah, and then there's the completely random apperance by Blink-182.  Meanwhile, Viewtiful Joe is the most fun I've had playing a video game in a long time, and I'm glad to see that video game creators haven't forgotten how to make really good action games.

I'll have a new comparison up and some Lucario information up soon.

Updates coming soon
March 1st, 2005

Today, I only have a few updates.  Yet again.

The Advanced Generation Episode List has been updated with the latest episode titles from Japan.  So has the Pokemon Sunday Episode List.  And the TV Schedule has been brought up-to-date.

I would have more, but it seems as if the fates or whatever sort of upper being you may believe in have conspired against me.  My Internet decided to quit on me Saturday morning, and I didn't get back online until Monday.  In addition, the photo shop program on my new laptop finished its 60-day trial run, so I've had to go and order the full version.  I'm still waiting for the program to arrive in the mail, so I won't be able to create any images for the site until then.  So we'll be stuck having to look at Eriko up there on the "Next on Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation" image a little while longer.

My school's spring break is starting in a few days, and I've pretty much finished all of the homework that I have due for my classes from now until the time it starts, so I should be getting a real update up real soon.
