2005
I really have been doing work for this site, I promise! February 22nd, 2005 Hey guys.
Guess what? This is another one of those un-exciting
updates. All I have for you today is an updated version of the Pokemon...Racist?
article (updated with data from the two-parter currently underway in
Japan)
and an update on the English
title for "Orchid-Hakase and
Odamaki-Hakase! The Battle of the Secret Base!" Other
than that, that's it. I fully realize that lately, this site has been pretty
boring. I haven't done any major updates in a long while, and
every week the Episode Comparisons section is getting further and
further behind. I have a plan to remedy the second problem (which
I won't be able to start on
it for about another week or so), but I won't reveal that for another
few
days. In the meantime, I do plan to have some more interesting
updates
posted. I have two major projects that I'm working on for the
site
at the moment, and I have a lot of other smaller projects planned as
well.
I have a daily "to do" pile and everything, so you guys should be
seeing
the effects of all my planning really soon Lots of updates in one Sorry for
the lack
of updates, guys, but my FTP program decided to up and die on me the
other
day. First of
all, I've
finally created an Episode List for Pokemon
Sunday. I've made a few format changes that I plan to
change
the rest of the Episode Lists to in the future. I've also updated
the Advanced
Generation Episode List to include the newest English titles.
Thirdly,
I've added some information about the newest movie, "Myuu
and the Wave-Riding Hero, Lucario." DVD Guide Update I've updated
the DVD
Guide to get it up-to-date. Particularly, the listings for Master
Quest, Advanced,
and the Movies. I plan to
post a new comparison or two within the next few days. Episode Guides, TV Schedule Nothing too
exciting this time around...I've just updated the Episode
Guide with new titles (or rather, titles that have appeared on just
about every other Pokemon fansite). I've also put the latest TV
Schedule up over on the TV Schedule
page. Also, Toonzone has
reported that, from February 14th until February 19th, Kids' WB! will be giving away one of
101 different prizes in the "101 Prizes-A-Day Pokemon" Giveaway.
The grand prize will be a Nintendo DS and a copy of Pokemon
Dash, but other prizes include the "Destiny Deoxys" DVD and other
Deoxys-related goodies. The prizes certainly don't suck, and the
odds aren't too terrible, so it's worth a shot. I don't know
what the next update will be, but I plan to have one ready for tomorrow. "Destiny Deoxys" Part Deux I apologize in advance if the title of
this update conjures up any thoughts of VH1's "I Love the 90's:
Part Deux." The title just seems appropriate, and it's just
unlucky that it shares a resemblance with a show featuring a bunch of
B-list celebrities reminiscing about TV shows that premiered five years
ago. I don't know if you guys have heard
the news
about how "Destiny Deoxys" fared two weekends ago, but if you haven't,
then
have a look at an excerpt from the press release: BURBANK, CA (January
27, 2005) — Kids' WB!’s exclusive U.S. premiere of the much-anticipated
“Pokémon
The Movie: Destiny Deoxys” gave the network its best delivery in key
demographics
since 2003. On Saturday, January 22, the network dominated as #1 among
all
Saturday morning competition in Boys 6-11 (5.8/23) and Male Tweens 9-14
(5.4/26),
and ranked as the #1 broadcaster in Kids 2-11 (3.1/12), Kids 6-11
(3.9/16),
Boys 2-11 (4.4/17) and Tweens 9-14 (3.5/18). The network also posted
year-to-year
double-digit gains in Kids 2-11 (+19%), Kids 6-11 (+22%), Boys 2-11
(+16%),
Boys 6-11 (+14%), Girls 2-11 (+31%) and Girls 6-11 (+46%). Among Kids
2-11,
Kids’ WB! topped the performances of CBS (1.6/7), ABC Kids (1.5/6), Fox
Box
(1.3/5) and NBC (0.9/3). Among Kids 6-11, the network beat ABC Kids
(1.6/6),
Fox Box (1.5/6), NBC (1.0/4) and CBS (0.8/3). Not bad for a
dying franchise, huh? I've revamped
the "Destiny
Deoxys" comparison, complete with pictures of all the scenes with
visual edits. This comparison took me forever and a day to
finish,
so I hope you guys enjoy it.
