A number of pokemon were made available for audience members' Pocket Monsters X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire games as part of the movie's promotion.

Volcanion

Those who buy a pre-order ticket between April 16th and July 15th, 2016, will be able to get a special Level 70 Volcanion for their Pocket Monsters X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire games.

Tickets must be purchased between April 16th (Saturday) and July 15th, 2016 (Friday).  Volcanion is able to be downloaded between April 16th (Saturday) and September 30th, 2016 (Friday) by inputting the serial code printed on the pre-order ticket. One pokemon per ticket, though it is possible to obtain multiple Volcanion by buying multiple tickets.  The Volcanion you receive is game data; it is not a physical item like a plushie or a figurine. This Volcanion cannot be put up on the GTS or on Miracle Trade. If you've modified your game using any sort of cheat devices then Volcanion may either not download correctly or may corrupt your save data in some way. Your games must be version 1.5 (Pocket Monsters X, Y), 1.4 (Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire) or above in order to accept the game data; version upgrades can be downloaded from the Nintendo eShop.

Gekkouga

A Gekkouga will be distributed to those who see the movie Volcanion and the Tricky Magearna in theaters.

Magearna

Though Magearna will not be available in the video games until the November release of Pocket Monsters Sun & Moon, those who go see Volcanion and the Tricky Magearna in theaters will receive a special Pokemon Ga-Olé disc that will allow them to download the pokemon to their Generation VII game in the future. Three million of these discs (which look more like cards to me) will be given out altogether.


Pokemon Ga-Olé is an arcade game in Japan where players use discs they've collected from various sources to battle. It is the spiritual successor of the Pokemon Tretta arcade game.

To receive Magearna you have the scan the QR code using Sun & Moon's new QR Scanner feature. This card is the only way to receive the mythical pokemon Magearna in the Sun & Moon games. The QR on this card will not work with non-Japanese versions of the games.

Chymia's Sirnight

A campaign in which players are given a chance to obtain Chymia's Black Sirnight in their Pocket Monsters X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire games is being held in Japan called Get Ready for a Close Match! The Black Mega Sirnight Campaign" (熱戦にそなえろ！黒いメガサーナイトキャンペーン).



A serial code that can be used to download Chymia's Black Mega Sirnight can be obtained from any of the following stores: Seven-Eleven, Apita, Piago, Aeon, Aeon Super Center, Aeon Style, Aeon Retail Store, Ito Yokado, Edion, Joushin Denki, Toys 'R' Us, Bic Camera, Fuji, Heiwado, Yamada Denki,  Yodobashi Camera, Pokemon Center, and Pokemon Store. The method of obtaining the serial code varies from each store so be sure to check with the staff if you have any questions.

Those who visit a Seven-Eleven store in Japan between July 9th and July 15th, 2016, will be able to get a special Level 50 White Mega Gangar for their Pocket Monsters X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire games.
