The pamphlet that went on sale in movie theaters at the time The Extreme Speed Genosect and the Awakening of Mewtwo came out contains a number of messages written by both the cast and the musical guests who worked on the movie. Below are translations of those messages.

Matsumoto Rika: Satoshi

This year, like every summer, we were able to meet this energetic boy named Satoshi who has a very straightforward sense of justice and who puts his friends before everything else.

Some of Satoshi's lines like "There's no such thing as someone whose existence isn't needed" and "Nobody is born into this world understanding why they're here!" really resonated with me personally. Should we think about the meaning of phrases like "life is precious" and what it means to "have life" this year, more than others? I'll be happy if these warm messages are able to reach everyone through Satoshi, a boy who lives life to its fullest.

Takashima Reiko: Mewtwo

I was surprised when I got the message that I would be cast in this movie because I'm always soothed by Pokemon and love it so much that I think Pikachu is cute even when it's making an angry face. The Mewtwo I'm playing this time has an unshakable strength and is harsh toward humans but will then turn around and act like a kind mother figure to other pokemon. Playing Mewtwo was more challenging than I thought it would be because it has this really regal way of speaking that draws everyone's attention to it, but in the end it ended up being a very rewarding experience. I was able to play this role that required me to use a voice that even I've never heard myself use before and was therefore able to have fun discovering new things about myself. I hope you'll enjoy the powerful battles and this grand story filled to the brim with love and emotion!

Yamadera Kou'ichi: Red Genosect

For me, when I think of summer, I think of Pokemon! It's even gotten to the point where it's not strange to see on the news that the word "Pokemon" is being recognized as one of the summer kigo ("seasonal word")!

I'm very thankful to be able to participate in a Pokemon movie this year as well and want to say "Let's all deepen our bonds and friendship with Pokemon!"

Heisei Nobushi Kobushi (Yoshimura Takashi & Tokui Kenta): Eric / Ishitsubute

Hey, this is Yoshimura from Heisei Nobushi Kobushi! Hey you guys! Yoshimura's in the house! And it's my first time doing this whole animation voice acting thing! When I first found out I'd be doing a voice in this I thought I'd be so "super excited!" that it would feel like the floor's falling out from under my feet, but then I looked at how fired up the staff was and at the quality of the movie and was like "I ain't excited at all! This really is Pokemon!" I'm really going to be in Pokemon...I was shocked. But! This man, Yoshimura! I thought "I'll give it my all and give an unprecedented performance!" but I was shocked that I was going to play this lovely boy named Eric. And it was a lot of fun! All you kids across the country! Don't grow up to become an adult like Yoshimura, but instead be a nice guy like Eric who values his friends! And don't get drawn into becoming an adult who surprises easily. Adios! (Yoshimura)

All you good boys and girls! This is Tokui from Heisei Nobushi Kobushi! How are you doin?
All you young men out there, this is Tokui from Nobushi Kobushi - are you working up a sweat?
All you young ladies out there, this is Tokui from Nobushi Kobushi - did you eat at a buffet for lunch today?
All you elderly people out there, this is Tokui - did you put sugar in your tea today as well?
There's something in this movie for everyone, whether you're young or old, man or woman, and I hope you'll enjoy this story brimming with courage and love. "Rasshai!" "Rasshai!" Come on rasshai! Let's laugh until we cry as we try our best for tomorrow! (Tokui)

Yoshioka Kiyoe (Ikimono Gakari): Eevee

Our song Egao, which is being used as the theme song for this movie, is one that tries to say something to that special someone, right? I'll be happy if this song reminds you of both the story of the movie as well as the things that go on in your daily life. In addition, this movie was my first time doing voiceover work for animation. I play a cute and courageous Eevee! I was nervous, of course, but I was also able to have a lot of fun doing it. I hope you enjoy both the movie and our music!

Yoshioka Kiyoe, Ikimono Gakari

Maeda Atsuko: Narrator

I loved Pokemon so much when I was little that I would walk around with a Pikachu stuffed animal in my arms, so the fact that my voice is going to become a part of the Pokemon world is both unbelievable and incredibly moving to me!

I went into this hoping I could be like an older sister to all the kids watching this. The main movie is nothing but exciting and action packed sequences, one after the other, but this short movie has a soothing story that even small children can enjoy. I'll be happy if, when you go see this movie, you have a good time and think things like "That pokemon is so~o cute!" or "The world of Pikachu and its friends looks really fun!"

Nakagawa Shouko: Nymphia

I'm so happy to be playing "Nymphia" in this year's movie, the Eevee friends' newest friend who has these pink ribbon-like things and who's also this cute girl who kind of prances around. The Keldeo I played in last year's movie was a boy, but the pokemon I'm playing in this year's movie is a girly pokemon who's the complete opposite of that! But since I had to convey everything using only the pokemon's cries this time, I ended up going through every line, one by one, and kept at it until I eventually got the right emotions. There really was a lot of trial and error! I hope you'll pay attention to its "Nymphia language" where it has a different way of calling out each pokemon's name as well as sing-song voice it makes whenever it uses one of its techniques. I hope you enjoy my work as the Fairy-Type pokemon Nymphia.

Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku

We're really moved that our song Te o Tsunagou is being used as the ending theme for not only the TV series but for this year's short movie as well! We were big fans of Pokemon when we were little and it really is surreal hearing our song on TV and in the movie theater. Recently, a lot of kids the same age as us, as well as kids even younger, have been coming to our live events and more and more, meaning that our songs are reaching out to more and more people. There are nine members in our group just like there are nine Eevee Friends, and we hope you'll continue to support us!
