On the day before his birthday, a young boy named Ginji eagerly searches his house for the birthday present his mother had hidden.  The search causes Ginji to collapse from exhaustion, and when he wakes up, he discovers that he has somehow transformed into an Achamo!  The young boy quickly befriends a cowradly Mizugorou, who informs Ginji of groups called Rescue Teams that go around and help pokemon in danger.  The two eventually come across a Caterpie in danger, and it's up to them to protect it from a scary Ariados!  Can the two pokemon win?

Chapter Two:  "I Want to be Human Again!"

As Ginji thinks back to his time as a human, Mizugorou tells him that Natio is able to tell the future and may be able to let him know if/when he'll turn back into a human.  Suddenly, the two are approached by a Gängar, who just so happens to need the two to accompany him to the mountains where Natio lives.  After facing a fierce Thunder, our heroes arrive at Natio's perch, where the pokemon reveals that Ginji was once a human.  Suddenly, Gängar stands up to all the pokemon in the area and makes a shocking accusation...

Chapter Three:  "Goodbye to a Peaceful Village!"

Gängar tells the gathered pokemon the legend of Kyuukon, a pokemon who cursed a trainer for leaving his pokemon behind.  Ginji, thinking he's the reincarnation of this jinxed trainer, decides to leave the village and head toward Kyuukon' lair to find a way to turn back into a human.  Along the way, Ginji and Mizugorou encounter a Fire who had been told, by Gängar, that Ginji is the human cursed by the nine-tailed pokemon.  Can Ginji and Mizugorou defeat such a powerful pokemon?  And what lies ahead in the Frozen Forest?

Chapter Four:  "Battle in a Bitter Cold Land!"

As Ginji remembers his days sitting on a warm beach when he was a human, Mizugorou reminds him that he's actually in the Forest of Frost!  As our heroes make their way through the cold terrain, they come across an Absol, a pokemon said to bring disaster whereever it goes!  It doesn't take long before Ginji and Mizugorou discover that the pokemon isn't as nasty as the rumors make it out to be.  Later, they come across the third legendary bird, Freezer!  The pokemon, like the others before it, had heard rumors of what a terrible person Ginji is and begins to attack.  Just as the pokemon is about to deliver a devastating final attack, Absol intervenes and convinces Freezer to reconsider its new friends.  Will Freezer be able to see the truth before an avalanche caused by Gängar smothers them all?


Chapter Five:  "Why I Became a Pokémon.  The Answer Finally Revealed!!"

Gängar is upset that Ginji has managed to make it past all three legendary birds, so he pulls out all the stops and recruits a Rescue Team consisting of a Houdin, Lizardon, and Bangirasu.  The three pokemon attack our heroes and easily overpowers them.  Suddenly, Ginji and Mizugorou are saved when Kyuukon appears!  The nine-tailed fox that our heroes had sought reveals the secret of the cursed human and is able to make the Rescue Team Gängar had hired see the light.  Can our heroes stop Gängar and prevent Groudon from awakening?  Read the final chapter to find out!!


Chapter Six:  "Tears and Emotions - It's the Final Chapter!"

Ginji and his new allies are determined to stop Groudon once and for all! However, when they reach Groudon's lair, they find Gängar eagerly awaiting the pokemon's revival! The legendary pokemon Groudon awakens, but before long it becomes apparent that it has no intentions of following Gängar's orders! After saving Gängar from some falling debris, Mizugorou and the other pokemon join forces to stop the enraged pokemon. However, its armor is too strong and withstands every attack thrown at it! When Absol and his friends appear to help Ginji out, an all-or-nothing battle for the sake of the entire world begins! Will the pokemon's combined power be enough to stop Groudon? Will Ginji ever return to the way he was?
