"Rougela's Christmas" The 2012 Edit

On December 23rd, 2012, TV-Tokyo premiered a newly edited version of the classic Kanto episode "Rougela's Christmas." In this version, Rougela, who was originally animated with black skin, dark blue hands, and red forearms, got recolored so that she now has purple skin, purple hands, and white forearms.

Whoops! Looks like they accidentally recolored the upper arms when only the forearms should have been white.


None of the Rougela on the island were wearing those Santa suits before, so why do they suddenly have them on now? It's weird, but this baffling costume change -does- at least save the animators from having to recolor all those Rougela's forearms.

I'm guessing the animators removed the glowing eye effect, recolored the Rougela's faces, and then reapplied the eyes after that.




This weird flashback effect, rain, and now snow? This episode must have really been a huge pain in the neck to edit.
