Kamimura Gin

The Pokemon The Movie XY "The Archdjinn of the Rings, Hoopa" adaptation will be written and drawn by Gin Kamimura (上 村ぎん).

Gin Kamimura, who has also gone by the name Ginjirou Murasaki (村崎ぎんじろう), is originally from Saitama.
In 2011 he earned the 69th semiannual Shogakukan Newcomer Comic Award (第69回小学館新人コミック大賞) for his one-shot manga The Village Where Sun-Sun Lives  (サ ンサンのすむ村).  He would later go on to work with Satoshi Yamamoto on Pocket Monsters Special by helping out with the backgrounds in Volume 51 and the second XY volume.
