The extended cover of Weekly Shonen Jump 2025 Issue 36/37

The world famous manga anthology magazine Weekly Shonen Jump had a special Pokémon collaboration campaign take place in August 2025.

The artists behind the magazine's 20 currently running manga series each provided unique artwork of the main characters of their series paired up with a Pokémon that fits them. This artwork was then combined into a massive collage and used as the cover for Weekly Shonen Jump 2025 Issue 36/37, which went on sale August 4th, 2025.

It should be emphasized that this collaboration is not a new manga series, and that these Pokémon characters are not currently scheduled to appear in any of the Weekly Shonen Jump manga series. These are simply new pieces of artwork created for a collaboration event; nothing more, nothing less.

The collaboration is being done to help promote the upcoming Pokémon Legends Z-A video game, as evident by the two page ad for the game in Issue 36/37.

The artwork

The main component of this collaboration is the 20 pieces of artwork created by each of the manga creators who have series currently running in Weekly Shonen Jump. A breakdown of each piece of art can be found below.

Series that are currently on hiatus -- Tite Kubo's Burn the Witch and Yoshihiro Tagashi's Hunter x Hunter -- were not included in this collaboration.

Stickers

Both Issue 36-37 and Issue 38 of Weekly Shonen Jump came with stickers featuring cutouts of the artwork seen above. The sticker sheet included in Issue 36-37 includes the first ten pieces of artwork, and the one in Issue 38 includes the remaining ten.

The giveaways

The other main component of this collaboration are the giveaways of exclusive merchandise as part of the Weekly Shonen Jump x Pokémon Summer Mega Jam-Packed Campaign (週刊少年ジャンプ×Pokémon 夏のメガ盛りキャンペーン！). The items all feature the artwork featured on the cover of Issue 36/37.

The giveaways include:
