Islands
![]() In late 1999, shortly after the Orange
Islands portion of the original Pocket
Monsters (1997) TV series wrapped up, a guide book called The Memorial Book of Orange Islands
was released in Japan. This 128 page "Super Cartoon Guide" goes through
each episode of
the Orange Islands arc, one by one, and provides episode summaries,
production artwork, character profiles, and more! Rounding out the
guide are pages and pages of behind-the-scenes production artwork, an
interview with Associate Producer Chouji Yoshikawa, and a comic
explaining how the show is made.
Below is a section-by-section breakdown of the book.
