Here's the post-Christmas Update
December 28th, 2003

I'm in a hurry, so here's what I did:

The super-edited Episode AG 013 comparison is now up!  That episode ranks up there as one of the most edited episodes ever, so be sure to read through the comparison to see what you missed.  I've also updated the Episode Guide with a few new titles.

Didn't get as much done today as I'd liked...

The rest of the Episode Comparisons section is finished.  I should get the big top-secret update up somewhat early tomorrow (maybe as early as 1:00pm-ish?).  I have to be at work at 2:00, so my plan is to have it up before then.

Most of the Episode Comparisons section has been changed to the new font.  That section has a ton of pages to it, so there are about 20 or so that I didn't get to.  Luckily, I set aside tomorrow for "leftovers," so that's when I'll get the rest of the section.

Here's my planned update schedule for the next few days:

Sunday:  Lyrics Section
Monday:  Comparisons Section
Tuesday:  Leftovers (Old News, various sections here and there that need to be tweaked)
Wednesday:  Big secret feature/section revealed
Thursday:  Rest

So today I have the Lyrics Section changed to the new format.  I've also added some information about a new CD in the CD Guide.  Enjoy!

Catching up

Y'know, I could be really evil and take the three episode comparisons I have ready for you all and stretch them out into three separate updates.  Y'know, have "You Said a Mouthful!" for today, "A Bite to Remember" for tomorrow, and "The Lotad Lowdown" for Monday.  Hey, that'd be less work for me!  Yeah!  But I already promised  you guys that you'd have three today, so that's what you'll get.

I've got a big top-secret project I'm working on that I hope to reveal on Wednesday, so until then I'll probably just have more of the "I changed the font on ____ section" updates.  I've only really got two sections left (Lyrics Archive and the Episode Comparisons), and then I have a few other bugs to tweak, and then the site will be ready for real updates again.

Today I finished the Movies & Specials section and updated the Pokemon Housou Episode List.  I also changed the various picture pages to the newer font.

Tomorrow you'll get three Episode Comparisons to make up for this crummy update.

TheMovies & Specials section has been mostly revamped, and I'll have to finish that later.  I've also managed to make a page for the second Advanced Generation movie (coming next July), so check that out.  I've also corrected a few errors in a few of the other movies pages.

Halfway Point...sorta

If my math had been better, I'd be able to say that there are only six days until Christmas.  Y'see, I was trying to do this clichéd "Twelve Days of Christmas" days (yeah, I know that a lot of you don't celebrate Christmas), but I started it a day early.  Whoops.  Well, I guess you'll just get an extra day of updates, that's all.  Also, from now on, my updates will have to be made at night since I'm back home with its 56K modem (gotta keep the phone lines open and all). 

The Seiyuu and Manga sections have been fixed to the new font.  Yeah, that's a boring update.  I had wanted to get the comparisons done, but when I went to check my tape, there was nothing on it.  Apparently, my VCR didn't pick up any of the two episodes that aired on Saturday, so I'm going to have to wait for the re-airings tomorrow and Friday before I can even start on the comparisons.

Today, the Season Three boxed set of South Park was released.  Not only is it worth buying just because it's South Park (one of the funniest shows on TV), it also contains the hilarious Pokémon parody "Chinpokomon."  The price isn't too bad either, so when I get some extra money I'll have to pick that up.

Speaking of parodies and the like, the Pokemon Bashing and Humor sections have now been converted to the fancier font that most of you seem to like.  Yay.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to pack everything to move out of my dorm room.

A humorous observation was made by the Mysterious Blue Hiker this morning--in my AG 006 comparison, I talk about how the episode wasn't dubbed too badly, but then I contradict myself by going into a Movie One length list of edits.  And looking back over it, it does look like the episode was handled pretty badly, doesn't it?  Well, I'd just like to say that I honestly don't feel that the episode was handled THAT badly.  A lot of the "edits" I have listed are just issues I have with the vocal performances, and most of them aren't exclusively present in "A Poached Ego."  The serious nature of the episode prompted me to bring up issues I've had with the voice acting since the early Johto days, and I hope that, in the process, I didn't sound like too much of a dub-basher.  Believe me, the rough drafts of that particular comparsion were a LOT less polite/calm, so what you got was actually the polite version.

So updates--the comparison for last week's new episode ("Taming of the Shroomish") is up over a week late, and unfortunately, with finals week/moving out of my dorm/getting my wisdom teeth pulled, the ones that aired yesterday ("You Said a Mouthful" and "A Bite to Remember") are going to be late as well.  Sorry.  I've also gone in to the Rants, Features, and International Pokemon section and have redone the font (for the International section) and fixed the links on the sidebar in all three sections. 

And I have just been informed that my "Twelve Days of Christmas" stunt I'm trying to pull off will have the twelfth day being the 23rd rather than the 25th.  Yeah, I was never that great at math...

Good God it's been a while since I've updated this site.  I blame final projects, studying for my exams, and all my friends wanting to booze it up every night.  But mostly the first two.  In fact, I had so much homework that I had to take a break from my modding duties at the Bulbagarden forums in order to get everything done. 

Anyway, the updates.  First of all, the Video Game section has been reformatted with the new font.  Secondly, I've got the comparisons for last week's episodes up--AG 006 and AG 007.  I haven't even had the chance to watch yesterday's episodes since I've been so busy, but I hope to get to those soon. 

Anyway, I know that there is a ton of stuff I need to update with (new comparisons, information about the second Advanced Generation movie, bio stuff, etc), but unfortunately I still have four exams left to take.  So please pardon the dust and I hope that you'll continue being patient.
