I hope it looks better
July 18th, 2003

So I went to do my update for the site when I noticed that it was down.  I think taking down the buttons on the sidebar helped a lot, but I still have to wind up paying for extra bandwidth each month.  Anyway, I couldn't do a thing about it until I got my paycheck, so I spent the time working on an update I had wanted to do for a while.

Basically, I kinda stole borrowed the layout for Daizenshuu Ex's movie pages and used it for my own movie pages.  So, I present the newly revamped Movie 01 page.  I think the new front page looks rather nice, and I hope you guys will agree with me.  Unless I get a huge amount of complaints about the new look, I plan to go ahead and do that for the other five movie pages.

Anyway, I gotta go so I can play some Resident Evil 0, since it seems to have taken over my life at the moment.  Have a great weekend!

Small update
July 15th, 2003

So the front page for last time didn't quite load all the way, did it?  I had everything you see for the July 10th update typed out and saved, yet for some reason, when I uploaded the file, only parts of it were posted.  Strange.

Anyway, tonight's update is small because I'm really busy right now--I've basically added some more names to the big Seiyuu list so that I'm now officially halfway finished with it.  Phew!  There's also a new episode title up in the Episode Guide, but that's it.  See?  I told you it was a small update.

Watching TNT...
July 10th, 2003

So I'm watching TNN's adult animation block thing (aka the bootleg Adult Swim) for the first time tonight.  I actually thought Gary the Rat was pretty good (liked the animation, and the dry humor was kinda nice) and Striperella wasn't as bas as I thought it'd be.  But Ren & Stimpy?  The 10pm airing was just as terrible as the older episodes, and I wasn't going to watch the 11:30 airing instead of Family Guy

Anyway, for tonight, I've got some new Episode Comparisons.  This batch--043, 044, and 045, make up the end of the show's first American season.  Enjoy.

Now I'm off to watch The Big O, and not just because it sounds really naughty to be watching a show called The Big O on a block of adult animation -_^

Fighting the fight against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named
July 07th, 2003

So Thursday night I got the fifth Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and nearly four days and 870 pages later, I finished it.  The book was very good, and the only reason it took me four whole days to read it was because I had to go in to work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  I'm definitely going to have to try to re-read the first four books to both pass the time until Book Six arrives (whenever that is) and to refresh my memory of some of the events Book Five alluded to.  If you haven't read it yet, I suggest you go and get yourself a copy.

Anyway, enough of that.  Today's update is kinda small--I've updated the seiyuu list with a bunch more names, and I've added a rant by CVXFREAK on Pokemon's popularity in Japan.  Other than that, I just want to say that I hope to get on some sort of regular updating schedule soon.  So, how do Monday's and Thursday's sound?  Hopefully I'll be able to update at least that often, and it'll be good to discipline myself like that.

Today's update chamo
July 03rd, 2003

Until recently, I've never really beaten Pokemon Gold.  Yeah, that's right.  After all the years that the game has been out, I never managed to get through the Kanto region and fight that final battle against Red.  Well, after picking the game up the other day for the first time in months, I realized that Kanto was really short, the game had many story opportunities that the anime never took advantage of, and that the final final boss is really cheap.  I mean, how do you go from fighting Blue's level 50-some pokemon to Red's level 80+ pokemon?  Am I the only one who thinks that that's a really huge leap?  Now I have to go and have each of my pokemon gain about 20 levels or so before I'll even stand a chance against Red, which means that game won't be being beaten any time soon.  No wonder I didn't particularly care for Ruby/Sapphire...

Anyway, as the rest of the country gears up for the nation's 227th birthday (wow, we're that young?), I've decided to finally update this website.  First of all, I've updated the pokemon bios pages for Haruka, Satoshi, Takeshi, Musashi, and Kojirou.  I've also added a new manga to the Manga section, "Pocket Monsters Chamo Chamo Pretty."  Check it out, it's by the same person who did "Magical Pokémon Journey."  And finally, there's a link to an FAQ about the Game Boy Player over on its page.  I don't know why I randomly did a video game update, but I suspect it has to do with a comic I saw the other day...

Don't know when or what the next update will be, but it shouldn't be to long (hopefully...).
