Ruby and Sapphire's first week is over
March 24th, 2003

I spent a lot less time in my room yesterday than I thought I would, so that's why the comparison for yesterday's episode is a bit late.  While I was at it, I also updated the Pokemon List, Gym Leader pages, and the Atlas page with the English names for the various pokemon/characters/places in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire.  In addition, I've added a characters page to the AG Movie 1 page, so go check that out if you want to see who's what.  And finally, there's a new Japanese episode title that reveals that there won't be a million filler episodes between Gym Battles.

I'll try to get the Lyrics Section up and revised this week, if the new Zelda game doesn't consume all my free time.  In the meantime, I wanted to celebrate the fact that Spirited Away took home the Oscar!   WOO-HOO!!!!!!

Well, they surprised me...

I thought I was going to get a weekend off from doing comparisons, but it turns out that Kids' WB! wanted me to work overtime instead.  So here's the comparisons for the first two episodes of Advanced Generation.

In a Lupin III-watching mood...
March 14th, 2003

Hi all.  Guess what I did this week?  I redid the Movies section!  Not only that, but I made various corrections/updates throughout the section, and I have a lot more information up about the first Advanced Generation movie.  I'm not going to call it "Movie 6" because it isn't the sixth Pocket Monsters movie--it's the first Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation Movie.  I mean, Dragon Ball fans don't call "Dead Zone" the fifth Dragon Ball movie, they call it the first Dragon Ball Z movie.  It's the same principle here.

I also have two new Episode Titles, one Japanese and one American.  The American episode won't air until next week because Kids' WB! will be doing a special preview of the upcoming season this week.  Unfortunately, there seems to be a lot of confusion about this hour-long preview, so I'm goin to attempt to set the record straight.  The special will basically be an hour-long commercial for the new Advanced Generation season and the new Ruby/Sapphire games, plain and simple.  They'll likely show various clips from the upcoming season, and explain who Haruka and Masato is and what some of the newer pokemon look like.  Contrary to what many fans seem to believe, Kids' WB! most likely WON'T be playing the first two episodes of Advanced Generation this weekend.  It would make no sense for Kids' WB! to do so, as it would completely spoil the last few episodes of the Jouto League and raise far too many questions.  I imagine it'll be similar to the Johto preview Kids' WB! did before the first Johto season aired, so if nothing else we should be bombarded with a ton of English names.

Well, I'm off to watch a Lupin III DVD now.  I'm going to work on the Lyrics Section next, including giving the CD Guide a much-needed update (did you know there's now a second OST out with background music from the Jouto seasons?).  Until then!

It's up on time!!!
March 8th, 2003

For once, I actually have the new Episode Comparison up on time.  Wow.

Spring Break is almost here...Spring Break is almost here...
March 4th, 2003

It's been a while, and in my absense Cartoon Network had their Giant Robot Week thing, which has really gotten me interested in Dai-Guard.  The channel also premiered their SVES Saturday night block, which sports two episodes of Pokemon in addition to all of the show's original openings.  And as if hell hadn't already frozen over with Evangelion being on Toonami, Fox aired their first Futurama episode in months this past Sunday.  It's been a good week so far.

So, what about the updates?  First of all, I've redone the Episode Comparisons section to the new layout.  That's right, all 113 html files have been reformated and are now in the new layout.  In addition, there's the comparison for Yanagi's first episode, a new picture up on the Episode 5 Fushigi Yuugi page, and some new Episode Titles.  And finally, I have the English names for a bunch of Ruby/Sapphire stuff, from the names of a few towns to the name of the game's professor to a bunch of pokemon's names.  I also have a picture of Tsutsuji from the anime, so if you want to see what she looks like just head on over to her bio.

Next up should be the Movies & TV Specials section, and after that then all the "long" sections should be finished with.  Then I'll have a few shorter sections to redo, and then I'll be finished with all this layout crap and get back to timely content updates.  So until next time!

EDIT: After being slapped in the face by FUNimation, I realized that I hadn't uploaded all the files for the update.  So all the Episode Comparisons should be up now.
