| The Story | The Different Versions | About the Author | Interview with Toshihiro Ono | Den-geki! Pikachu artist / writer Toshihiro Ono (おのとしひろ, though 小野敏洋 is also seen) was born in Aichi Prefecture on February 27th, 1965. After getting started in Manga House, a magazine put out by Sakira Sakuma to find new talent in the world of Japanese comics, Mr. Ono won the Fujio Fujiko Award for his work Yadokari-kun (ヤドカリくん). He made his official debut in 1992 with CoroCoro Comics Special's The Legend of Zelda Gaiden: Quark and the Fairy Queen (ゼルダの伝説外伝 クオークと妖精女王). When it comes to his more family-friendly works, Mr. Ono is known for kids' manga like Barcode Fighter (バー コードファイター), King of "NEKO" (ネ コの王 - King of "NEKO" -), and Root Neko-Neko (ROOTねこねこ). Mr. Ono is also well known for doing a number of series aimed at adults, with many of them even being pornographic. Accordingly, the artist goes by a number of different pennames when working his more adult-oriented series. For the purposes of this website only the works credited under the name Toshihiro Ono will be covered.
