The numerous teasers and
trailers that
come out for Koko, a Japanese
film produced
in Japanese
for a Japanese
audience are, not surprisingly, all in Japanese. This page collects
those advertisements and translates them into English so that fans all
over the world can feel just as much hype for the film as their
counterparts in Japan.
July 12th, 2019: Mini-Teaser
|
The first
teaser premiered after the end credits of the previous year's film, Mewtwo Strikes
Back Evolution. It is included as an extra on the Movie 22 Blu-ray.
January 10th, 2020: First Teaser
|
The first
full teaser premiered on the January 10th, 2020 episode of the morning
kids' show Oha Suta. The official upload has since been
removed, most likely for including the movie's old release date.
Luckily this unofficial upload includes the original version of this
first teaser; skip to the 2:00 mark:
Here's a translation of the teaser:
Narration / Onscreen Text:
This summer
Narration / Onscreen Text:
The one you'll meet is
Onscreen Text:
"Hewmann, this is..."
Narration / Onscreen Text:
Pocket Monsters The Movie "Koko"
|
As mentioned before, the original version of the teaser was taken
offline
after the movie's
release date was changed from July 10th to "Winter 2020." On June 14th,
2020, the following reworked version was uploaded to the official
Pokémon YouTube account:

February 28th, 2020: First Trailer
|
The first
full-length trailer (as opposed to the first teaser)
premiered on the February 28th, 2020 episode of the morning
kids' show Oha Suta. Just like with the first teaser, the
original official upload has since been removed so we'll have to make
do with this unofficial one:
Here's a translation of the original version of the trailer:

The
original version of the teaser you see above was removed after the
movie's
release date was changed from July 10th to "Winter 2020." On June 14th,
2020, the following reworked version was uploaded in its place:
And here's a translation of the
redone trailer. The biggest difference between the original and this
new one is that the narrator's "This summer" line has been removed.

By this point in the

going on.
