Victini and the Black Hero, Zekrom is an adaptation of the movie of the same name. The manga follows the plotline of one of the two movies being released as the first Pocket Monsters Best Wishes! movie. In this story, a man named Dread wants to use the power of the mysterious pokemon Victini to help revive the country of the "people of the earth." Unfortunately, this power will also cause trouble for the town of Aint Oak. Can Satoshi and his friends stop him?
Inoue Momota (井上桃太) is the writer / author of the adaptation. Ms. Inoue worked on the manga adaptation of the previous year's movie as well.
Viz released their English version on March 6th, 2012.
