Main Film Basic Synopsis

One night, a pair of siblings - Taichi and Hikari - are awoken when an egg comes out of their computer. The mysterious egg hatches and becomes Botamon, a strange creature known simply as a "Digimon." Botamon evolves into other Digimon - first Koromon, then Agumon - as the children attempt to keep it a secret. Before long, a large monster Digimon known as Parrotmon appears and begins wreaking havoc in Tokyo! After an intense battle, Agumon evolves, once again, into Greymon! What will be the outcome of the clash between the two giant creatures known simply as "Digimon?"

Notes

This film was released exactly one day before the TV series, Digimon Adventure, started airing. It was shown during the March 1999 Toei Anime Fair along with the tenth Dr. Slump movie, "Dr. Slump: Arale's Surprise" and "Yu-Gi-Oh!."

The film is only about 20 minutes long.

Parts of this film, as well as the second (Bokura no War Game) and the third film (Digimon Hurricane Jouriku! & Chouzetsu Shinka!! Ougon no DigiMental) were used to create the American-made "Digimon The Movie."
