The Digimon franchise is unique in that
it's a franchise aimed at little kids that doesn't assign American names to
each and every human character. A lot of the characters keep
their Japanese names, something that's unheard of for a made-for-TV dub
in the early 2000s. However, not every character gets to keep his or her Japanese name when the series is dubbed into English. Below is a list of characters' Japanese and English names, as well as some additional notes about their names. ![]()
