Box office figures for this are unavailable as this movie festival was limited to being screened at a single movie theater in Tokyo. However, based on the information we do have on how pre-orders went we can reasonably guess that it was a success.
On April 6th, the theater announced that pre-order tickets would be going on sale starting April 17th at 12:00 noon.
The following day, April 18th, the theater announced that the majority of pre-order tickets had already sold out.
By April 22nd, there were only about 20 tickets left.
The account posted a few more times -- usually whenever new tickets would pop up on the Ticket Pia website -- before finally announcing that all the pre-order tickets had been completely sold out as of May 3rd.
So while we do not have any box office figures from this event, the fact that all the pre-order tickets sold out is a sign that this film festival was a success.
