Eric is one of the caretakers of Pokemon Hills (ポケモンヒルズ), a special sanctuary currently being built to house pokemon in the middle of New Tork City.  According to the manga adaptation of the movie, Eric received word that Satoshi and his friends were coming by to take a look from Orchid-Hakase.  He is also said to be proud of the Ortus flowers that were brought over to Pokemon Hills from the Alssace Natural Park and even has a framed photo of them hanging in his office.
