He then attaches a Basic Psychic Energy card to the Mawhip on the Bench.

4
Mawhip Mawhip Sweet Circle (20x)

Retto ends the turn, predictably, by having the Mawhip in the Active Spot use its "Sweet Circle."

The attack does 120 damage to its opponent, enough to Knock Out Letto's Yamikarasu.

Ouri starts to get upset at how one-sided this battle's been so far. Spamming Mawhip's "Sweet Circle" attack is kind of making the match a bit one sided! Fuuto believes that if Letto can find a way to beat Retto's Mega Diancie ex then he could maybe even the score, since defeating a Mega Evolution ex Pokémon awards you with three Prize Cards.

From this round onward, each turn is given a more detailed play-by-play.

This is enough to finally Knock Out Retto's Mawhip.

Yamirami Yamirami Arrogant Claw (20+)
If you have any Stage 2 Darkness Pokémon on your Bench, this attack does 70 more damage.
Letto ends the turn by having Yamirami use its "Arrogant Claw" attack. Since there's a Mega Gangar ex on the Bench the attack is able to do 90 damage.

And, since the opponent's Meloetta is weak to Darkness Type attacks, "Arrogant Claw" ends up doing double the damage.

Meloetta suffers a Knock Out.

He ends the turn by having Mega Diancie ex use its "Garland Ray" attack.

He discards its two Basic Psychic Energy cards so that the attack will deal 360 damage, enough to Knock Out the opponent's Mega Gangar ex.

Normally the Mega Pokémon ex rule would mean Retto would be able to claim three Prize Cards for his efforts, enough to win the whole match, but Fuuto reminds him that Mega Gangar ex's Ability "Shadowy Concealment" is still in effect, bringing that number down to two.

In the end Letto goes with Cresselia, who has exactly 120 HP. "Snipe Feather" Knocks Out the opponent's Cresselia, giving Letto the final Prize Card needed to win the match.

Now that the match is over the two boys marvel at how great Mega Pokémon ex are. They're eager to start up another match, but it seems like Ouri and Fuuto have already taken over their decks and have started their own game!
