Letto and Retto decide to try out the new "MEGA Starter Set: Mega Gangar ex vs. Mega Diancie ex" sets, with Letto choosing the Gangar deck while Retto goes with Diancie. Retto has a Mawhip whose “Sweet Circle” attack ends up defeating three of Letto’s Pokémon, one after the other, quickly bringing the score down to six vs. three. The two players eventually get the Pokémon on which their decks are focused – Mega Gangar ex for Letto, Mega Diancie ex for Retto – as they continue the match. Mega Diancie ex's "Diamond Coat" Ability buffs up the Pokémon's defenses, and with the help of Pokémon like Meloetta and its "Soothing Melody" attack it's able to recover its HP even when damage is dealt to it, but Letto's eventually able to wear it down enough to where his Mega Gangar ex knocks it out with its "Void Gale" attack. Letto now has two Prize cards left, and after his Yamirami's "Arrogant Claw" attack knocks out Retto's Meloetta that number’s brought down to one. Retto manages to then defeat Letto's Mega Gangar ex with a second Mega Diancie ex, bringing the score down to 1-1. Letto's up next, so he cleverly uses Dongkarasu's "Snipe Feather" attack to knock out one of the weaker Pokémon on Retto's Bench, earning him the final Prize card and victory of the entire match. The two are eager to start a new game when Ouri and Fuuto appear and use their decks to start one of their own!

Letto and Retto are walking along one day when they happen upon their old friend the Quiz Master, who challenges Letto to a Pokémon TCG match using the newly released “Inferno X” expansion set. The Quiz Master starts by bringing a Mega Samehader ex into play and using its "Hungry Jaws" attack to deal 270 damage to her opponent's Mega Lizardon X ex. Letto responds by using his Mega Evolved Pokémon's "Inferno X" attack to knock out the Water Type and, thanks to the Mega Pokémon ex rule, earn himself three Prize Cards all at once. The Quiz Master retaliates by bringing another Mega Samehader ex onto the Bench and then using its "Hungry Jaws" attack to Knock Out Letto’s Mega Lizardon X ex! Each side is down to three Prize Cards apiece as the match continues, with the Quiz Master claiming two more Prize Cards when her Habunake uses its "Pitch-Black Fangs" attack to defeat Letto's Odoridori ex. Letto needs to act quickly to turn things around so he uses a combination of Firebreather and his second Odoridori ex's "Excited Turbo" Ability to attach a bunch of Basic Fire Energy cards to his newly evolved Mega Lizardon X ex, uses Counter Catcher to force the Quiz Master's Mega Samehader ex back into the Active Spot, and then defeats it using a powerful "Inferno X" attack! Letto wins the match, but the Quiz Master isn’t done yet as she turns to Retto and challenges him to a battle as well!

The Quiz Master is back with a new quiz, this time about the "Start Deck 100 Battle Collection" Pack! She’ll ask ten questions, and if Retto and Letto can get them all correct they’ll win a free Pokémon Trading Card Game deck! First up, “Which of these cards are you not able to add to your hand using the Item card "Poké Pad"?" The challengers answer Glacia ex and Darkrai ex since both those cards have Rule Boxes printed on them. Question Two: "If you have a Mega Tabunne ex in the Active Spot, what's the maximum number of Basic Energy cards you can attach to the Whaloh currently on the Bench?" The answer ends up being seven; the one you can attach normally during each turn, and then up to six additional cards with the help of Mega Tabunne ex's "Kaleido-Waltz" attack. The quiz continues, with questions regarding the maximum amount of damage that can be dealt by certain Pokémon attacks, how to defeat certain Pokémon in the next move using the cards provided, and even a fill-in-the-blank challenge. The players end up getting through the first nine questions, leading them to the tenth and final one: "What do these six cards from Deck No. 009 all have in common?" The two aren’t able to come up with an answer so the Quiz Master reveals what it is…they’re all pink!? The chapter ends with the two scolding her for putting a color-based question in a black and white comic.
