Graphic Novel Subtitle: "Lighthouse" (灯台) Released in: The October 2011 issue of CoroCoro Ichiban! (on-sale August 21st, 2011)
24 pages Black calls Araragi-Hakase to update her on his adventure. During this conversation, the professor asks Black to board a ship to Liberty Island to investigate a pokemon named Victini. When Black and White arrive on the island, they notice that nobody's around. Black uses Musha to clear his mind and focuses on a lighthouse he kept seeing in all the guidebooks. He has a feeling that Victini is there, so he has War use Aerial Ace on the building. When the smoke clears, three members of the Plasma-Dan and their Gothilselle appear! One grunt tells Black that 200 years ago, a millionaire had bought the island and hidden Victini below the lighthouse to keep it from danger. When he passed away, people became able to enter and exit the island as they pleased. Therefore, the grunt argues, it's up to them to protect Victini by keeping it there, even if it's against the pokemon's will! Wargle is ordered to stop Gothilselle and, with the help of Victini's power, is able to defeat the Plasma-Dan's pokemon. After the grunts retreat, Black informs Araragi-Hakase that Victini disappeared after that. The professor thanks Black and asks him to contact her again if he needs anything. Notes

20 pages A sandstorm rages through Route Four, so White leaves Black to go get supplies. While Black waits in the Hiun Gate, he meets a casino dealer who challenges him to the "Moguryuu Game." The player's goal is to figure out whether the dealer's Moguryuu will pop up on the left side or the right side of a line drawn in the sand. After a few rounds, a lone construction worker wanders into the area and sinks into the ground filled with holes. The dealer explains that he had told the workers that it's dangerous to wander over, so the fact that this worker didn't know this means he must be an impostor! The dealer's Kirikizan quickly defeats the impostor's Maracachi before outing him as a member of the Plasma-Dan! Then, the dealer reveals that he is really Giima, one of the members of the Four Heavenly Emperors! Giima tells Black he'll answer his questions if he can defeat him in a battle. Since he's willing to give up his valuable information, however, Giima demands Black put something important on the line as well. The chapter ends with Black looking down at the Gym Badges he's collected so far. Notes N/A

20 pages Black passes out from the stress of deciding whether or not to risk his Gym Badges! After praising Black for being so serious about his dreams, Giima searches the Plasma-Dan grunt and finds a paper with the words "Ancient Castle" written on it. Elsewhere, Ryokushi, one of the Seven Sages of the Plasma-Dan, decides to go ahead with their plan to make Urgamoth appear. Later, Black wakes up in Raimon City. White explains that she found him like that when she got back from shopping and used his Wargle to help carry him all the way to Raimon City. She then excitedly tells Black to look at all the work she's been doing in the meantime. When the two of them step outside, Black sees that a Musical Hall has been built! Black looks on in amazement as White basically runs the entire production, making all the decisions necessary to ensure a smooth show. Black, not wanting to get into his boss' way, wanders around backstage. There, he meets the Raimon City Gym Leader Kamitsure and challenges her to a battle. She asks for him to wait until after the show's over, so he has no choice but to wait for opening day. Notes N/A

As White tries to figure out another way to get the goods to her audience in time, Kamitsure leads Black to her Gym. Eventually, White decides to have her agency foot the bill for a cargo plane to pick up the cases and drop them off at the Musical Hall. The plane, piloted by the Fukiyose City Gym Leader Fuuro, dazzles the crowd by skywriting a message before delivering the cargo. The audience members all walk away with their own Goods Cases, eager to participate in the following day's festivities. Black has arrived at the Raimon City Gym! The young trainer is greeted by the Gym Leader Kamitsure and is told to ride the indoor roller coaster to her battlefield at the back of the gym. When he arrives, the safety bar on his car won't budge, trapping him in the car! Black wants to go through with the battle anyway, so he sends out his Dentula to fight Kamitsure's Zebraika. As the roller coaster starts up again, Kamitsure's pokemon absorbs Tula's electric attacks and finishes it off with a powerful Nitro Charge. Next, Black calls on his Charbu. His pokemon is caught off guard when Zebraika uses Volt Change to switch places with Kamitsure's Emonga, but he's eventually able to use this to his advantage by striking the spot where he knows Zebraika will reappear. As Black's car goes around a loop, he uses his new airborne status to his advantage, striking Emonga from above and defeating Kamitsure's second pokemon. After Black's given the Volt Badge, the roller coaster takes him outside where he's attacked by the legendary pokemon Voltlus. The electric shock frees him from the roller coaster, enabling Black to leave the Gym and continue his journey. Notes N/A

20 pages As the ferris wheel starts up, White learns that N is the king of the Plasma-Dan! N confronts White about her being the organizer of the Pokemon Musical and asks how she can stand to turn pokemon into things to be shown off. She answers by explaining that when she was younger, she witnessed a pokemon jump onto the stage of a human musical. She saw how happy it was in front of an audience and decided to start something that would allow pokemon like that to perform on a large stage. While N concedes that there are pokemon who do actually enjoy being on stage like that, he questions whether or not her Pokabu is one such pokemon. He has his Janovy attack and, much to White's surprise, her Pokabu attacks back! White, bewildered by all this, rushes to the door of the car and tells Pokabu to jump off with her. As she falls to the ground, she looks up and sees that Pokabu has decided to leave her and joins N's side instead! N releases his Janovy and watches as it runs to White's side. Meanwhile, the Champion Adeku rides atop the sea on his Baffaron. Notes N/A

20 pages Black, War, and Char all look frantically for White. Eventually, they find her slung over the shoulder of Renbu of the Four Heavenly Kings! He tells Black that White had fallen from a ferris wheel and that she should probably be taken to a hospital. Black sees N's Janovy and asks Renbu if it's his, but he says it isn't. Renbu takes his leave and meets up with Adeku. Later, White regains consciousness in the hospital and asks to go outside. She explains what happened with N and how her Pokabu chose to go with N. Black wonders if Renbu saw anything that might lead them to the Plasma-Dan but doesn't know how to find him. Suddenly, a baker named Yoshie approaches them and offers to take him to Renbu if they can figure out why Renbu's even in Raimon City to begin with. Based on what White's doing there with the Pokemon Musicals, Black guesses that he's in town to figure out a way to excite the townspeople about pokemon battling. Yoshie announces that he's correct and drives them to the newly completed Battle Subway. There, Renbu is in the middle of a battle with the Champion Adeku! Notes N/A

Later, the mayor of Raimon City arrives to find out what the two thought of his new battle facility. Everyone goes back inside to listen to Renbu's thoughts about the city's new battle facility. At that moment, the mayor introduces everyone to Nobori and Kudari, the owners of the Battle Subway. Renbu asks Black if he'd like to try it out, but he declines, thinking he needs to help White with her problems first. Luckily, the Janovy that had started following White after her encounter with N steps in and stops the wild pokemon from hurting her. At that moment, Black, who had been watching the whole time, spots a Protoga that he would like to capture for himself. He joins White's side and coaches her on how to use her Janovy in battle.
