Chapter 26

22 Pages
Nemo eventually tells the Four Heavenly Kings that the reason she’s been following Scarlet around is because she wants to challenge her to a rematch. She also tells them about how she’s actually really kind-hearted, going out of her way to help a young boy get into the academy, but at the same time she does tend to keep people at a distance. Maybe she does this to safeguard against potential disappointments? Once Nemo is excused, Omodaka comments they should ask the other Gym Leaders to cooperate with Scarlet’s and Nemo’s journey through the Pokémon League. Over at the Grape Academy, Botan is suddenly called to the principal’s office. The school’s apparently asking every student, one by one, if they know anything about the group of delinquent students calling themselves the Star-Dan, but Botan gets overwhelmed by the line of questioning and asks to be excused. When she returns to her dorm room it’s revealed that “Botan” was really just Scarlet in disguise! Meanwhile, Violet and Peper are out near Olla Lake, testing out Miraidon’s newest Glide Mode power. They’re also in the area to defeat its Boss Pokémon, the False Dragon, and get the final Secret Spice need to fully awaken Miraidon’s powers and cure Peper’s Mafitiff. As they search the area Violet spots a green stake in the ground and decides, against Peper’s protests, to try pulling it up out of the ground. As he does, a chain blocking the nearby Shrine of Dusty Earth begins to quiver…

Notes
On Twitter, Satoshi Yamamoto comments how Chapter 26 of this story arc does the "you-know-what" that's become the staple of this series. He never does say what "you-know-what" actually is, but he adds that it happened in Arc 8 (Platinum) with Dia and Akagi and again in Arc 13 (Omega Ruby Alpha Sapphire) with Sapphire and the old woman. The accompanying image shows Nemo slapping Omodaka.

Chapter 27

25 Pages
Scarlet’s errand at the academy’s done so she leaves Botan back at the dorm. Outside, she gets a call from Raifort telling her about four shrines around the Paldea Region that she suspects might house the Calamitous Pokémon. She elaborates, saying there’s supposedly one Pokémon per shrine, and that the eight stakes connected to each shrine will need to be pulled up in order to release the Calamitous Pokémon sealed inside. She sends Scarlet the locations of the shrines and instructs her to visit Lime, the Gym Leader Lime of Fridge Town, for assistance. Meanwhile, Violet and Peper are watching a video Old Roto took of Violet pulling up the stake near Olla Lake earlier. It reminds Rotom of a similar shrine found while fighting one of the Boss Pokémon, leading the group to conclude that there must be multiple shrines like this throughout the region. The next morning, Nemo finds out Scarlet’s going to meet the Fridge Town Gym Leader and sets off immediately to meet up with her. North of the mountain, the four Star-Dan grunts who attacked Botan back in Champloo Town start heading south toward Fridge Town as well. As they trudge through the blizzard they spot "Botan" walking alone and decide to take care of her once and for all. Nemo’s walking along the same road when she looks up and sees a Flying Taxi being ridden by the Star-Dan grunts and an unconscious Botan…!? Later, Grusha’s walking along when she spots "Botan"’s Rotom phone…

Chapter 28

25 Pages
Grusha uses the phone he found on the ground to call Nemo, who informs the Gym Leader that the phone he’s using belongs to her best friend Scarlet! But why would he have it…? Back in the Flying Taxi, Scarlet, disguised as Botan, decides she should probably play along for the time being. Nemo makes it to Fridge Town and meets up with Lime, who had just come across the Eevee evolutions Scarlet had borrowed from Botan, though it seems like they were all beaten up by the Star-Dan and then just left there…!? Nemo then gets Scarlet’s phone back and immediately uses it to call Cassiopeia. She finds out the “Botan” she saw being taken away by the Star-Dan wasn’t really her, with Cassiopeia guessing they’re probably all on their way to Team Caph’s Base. Nemo, after relaying all this to the Gym Leaders, leaves with Grusha to go rescue Scarlet. Over at the Grape Academy, the real Botan’s trying to sneak out without anyone noticing but ends up getting dragged into an argument some of the teachers are having about sandwiches. At Olla Lake, Violet and Peper are about to be swallowed up by a wild Heyrusher when a Flying Taxi swoops in and scoops the two Trainers out of the water! The Cabbie, Yohei, knows the area well and warns Violet that the seemingly benign Sharitatsu in the area are really quite dangerous. Just then, a lone Shartitatsu approaches the group, and it doesn’t look too happy!

Notes
This chapter was originally scheduled to be released Friday, January 3rd but ended up coming out on Monday January 5th instead. The reason given for the delay is, according to this Tweet, "due to various circumstances" (諸般の事情により).

Chapter 29

25 Pages
As Peper’s warning Violet about taking the diminutive Sharitatsu too lightly a giant Heyrusher leaps out of the lake and slams onto the land in front of them! The Sharitatsu voluntarily jumps into Heyrusher’s mouth, prompting the “False Dragon” Boss to use attacks like Order Up and Wave Crash to send Violet and Peper flying. The two eventually wash up unconscious on a nearby beach where a group of Sharitatsu swarm around them and steal the contents of their backpacks. When the two wake up and realize they’ve been robbed they decide to head to the nearest town to plan their next action, though Violet stops them when he gets a flash of inspiration. Elsewhere, Grusha tells Nemo that the Pokémon League’s been monitoring Scarlet because they see her as a potentially dangerous person, citing not only her search for the Calamitous Treasures but also the fact that, when it comes down to it, the League has no idea who this “Scarlet Koito” person really is. Over at the Star-Dan’s Team Caph’s Base, the rebel faction of the Star-Dan work to keep their Boss, Biwa, from meeting their newest prisoner. Later, “Botan’s” Tamantula uses its silk to pilfer one of the Star-Dan rebel’s phone but is soon intercepted by Tanaka, Biwa’s right-hand woman. The rebels arrive on the scene and incapacitate her, soon realizing that by doing so they’re unexpectedly drawing attention to themselves. Meanwhile, Team Caph’s boss Biwa notices Tanaka’s late for an appointment the two of them had…
