On January 26th, 2025, the day Chapter 50 of Kousaku Anakubo's Pocket Monsters Aniki Series was originally scheduled to come out, the image seen above was posted instead. In the image, Pippi can be seen bowing to the readers and saying "Sorry...we're taking January and February off! We're really, really sorry Pi~!".
While a reason for the unexpected delay has not been provided, it likely has something to do with how Sauna Wars, the other manga Mr. Anakubo's been doing for the CoroCoro Comics website, has recently entered its final story arc. Sauna Wars is being updated with new chapters every single week and so it's likely the 67 year old manga artist simply doesn't have the time needed to work on new Pocket Monsters chapters as well.
