Notes These comic strips were included as part of the "Nintendo All Star Gag Book" (ニンテンドーオールスターギャグBOOK), a supplemental booklet that came with the April 2025 issue of CoroCoro Ichiban! ![]() In Japanese schools, lunch is generally not eaten in a cafeteria; it's usually served in the classroom, with the actual food itself being distributed by the students of said classroom. One student might be put in charge of passing out trays, another student might be put in charge of ladling the stew into each bowl, one student might be in charge of passing out the eating utensils, etc. These roles are generally assigned on a rotating basis so that every student in the class eventually gets to perform each task. 7 Pages Theme: The Pokémon are asked to come up with goals for the new school semester. Hogator's Goal (ホゲータの目標) Hogator's goal for the new semester is to go on a diet! But will going from eight sweets a day to seven really be enough to make a difference? Kuwassu's Goal (クワッスの目標) Kuwassu's goal is for everyone in the class to have hair as well coiffed as it has, though the other students aren't exactly thrilled about having to put wax on their heads. Teacher Parmot (パーモット先生) The class' teacher, Parmot, has a goal to stop forgetting things so much, though even this goal is quickly forgotten. No Running in the Halls (ろうかを走らない) Anokusa's "no running in the halls" goal is easy enough to follow -- rolling around isn't the same thing as "running," right? Gakegani on the Wall (カベのガケガニ) Gakegani also has a goal of not running in the hall -- running along the walls of the hall doesn't count, right? Jiodumu's Salt (ジオヅムのしお) Jiodumu helps Nyahoja stick to its "no running in the hall" goal by using its powerful stream of salt to push the Grass-Type along. Orachifu's Goal (オラチフの目標) Orachifu decides to join the other students who have made "smile when we say hello" goal, though its "smile" could use a bit of work. Get Fired Up! Carbou (もえろ!カルボウ) Carbou's goal is to greet its classmates with tons of energy, but the amount of time it takes to pump itself up causes its greetings to come a bit too late. Arukujira's Cold Receptions (さぶさぶアルクジラ) Arukujira also joins in on the greet its classmates with tons of energy goal, putting its own punny twist on things. Untitled Epilogue Teacher Parmot makes one final, class-wide goal: let's make this classroom a bright and cheery place! Unfortunately, a few of the Electric-Type students take the "bright" part of this goal a bit too literally. Notes
These comic strips were included as part of the "Nintendo All Star Gag Book" (ニンテンドーオールスターギャグBOOK), a supplemental booklet that came with the May 2025 issue of CoroCoro Ichiban! ![]() The new school year typically begins in April in Japan, which is probably what prompted the "new semester" theme of this series of comic strips. Zupika's Cheerleading (ズピカのおうえん) The usually overprotective Zupika gets carried away cheering for the other Pokémon during a relay race. Ball Toss Game (玉入れ) For the next event, the ball toss game, Mamebatta uses its incredible jumping ability to perform a slam dunk. Hirahina and the Basket (ヒラヒナとカゴ) Hirahina's in charge of holding up the ball toss game basket, though the way it runs around all the time makes it harder for the other students to continue playing. Obstacles (障害物) The crawl under netting set up for the event's obstacle course is really made out of Wanaider's stick webs!? Distractions (足止め) Challengers of the obstacle course keep getting held up by distractions such as Gourton's delicious smelling curry and Arukujira's groan-worthy puns. Unnamed Epilogue Various students attempt to help by holding up the tape at the end of the race, but each Pokémon's special abilities make crossing the finish line a dangerous job! Notes

Zupika Alarm (ズピカけいほう) Concerns about the students getting lost prompt Zupika to suggest they take their field trip a little closer to home. Carbou the Leader (リーダーカルボウ) The teacher breaks the students into groups and assigns certain Pokémon as their leaders. Carbou gets so fired up by its leadership role it somehow gets its group to run 30 laps around the school! Follow Me~! (ついてこーい!) Gakegani tries to lead its group straight up the side of a cliff while Buroron inadvertently blows exhaust fumes into its students' faces. Observatory (てんぼう台) The students reach the top of the hill and find an observatory. Lunch Boxes (お弁当) The backback on Sebie's back is frozen solid, trapping the Pokémon's lunch box in a block of ice! A Delicious View (おいしい景色) The mountain view isn't the only thing "delicious" about Hogator's and Gourton's time on the field trip. 7 pages Theme: The Pokémon students hold a scare-a-thon Untitled Prologue Parmot explains how they'll turn the schoolhouse into a haunted house, scaring Minive in the process. The Sound of Fear (きょうふの音) Hogator's fear of a creepy gurgling noise goes away when it finds out it's just the sound of its rumbling stomach! Jumpscare (とびあがる) A jumpscare aimed at Mamebata causes the Pokémon to literally go through the roof. Kanuchan's Hammer (カヌチャンのハンマー) A sudden scream from Nyahoja scares Kanuchan into dropping its hammer right in front of the Grass-Type, causing it to scream as a result. Zupika Alarm (ズピカけいほう) Nyahoja mistakes the eerily floating Zupika for a ghost. Counting Steps (カウントダウン) Zupika's desire to have this be a safe haunted house inspires it to pass out a map that includes where all the jumpscares are going to be, even going so far as to map out how many steps are in between each one! The Proud Orachifu (おらおらオラチフ) The students who put on the haunted house want to use Orachifu's face to scare visitors, but for some reason it decides to dress up like a ghost instead...? Arukujira's (Kick the) Bucket (アルクジラのおばけ) The pun-loving Arukujira makes a "ghost" out of a large bucket. Untitled Epilogue To reward the students for making it through the haunted house their teachers gives them the scariest thing of all: homework for summer vacation! 7 Pages Theme: The Pokémon work on a school garden. Untitled Prologue Kuwassu uses a hoe to till the soil, inspiring Arukujira to deliver yet another one of its terrible puns. Get Nakanuchan (ナカヌチャンゲット) Nakanuchan's quest for the perfect hammer leads to it swiping the metal blade off of Hogator's hoe! Get Fired Up Carbou(もえろカルボウ) Carbou vigorously digs up the soil, so much so that it even starts to break the bedrock below! Sowing Seeds (タネまき) Otoshidori tries sowing seeds across the garden from high up in the sky, though its aim could use a bit of work. Are Those Seeds...? (タネ…?) Collecurei and Kanuchan believe they can get more of the things they love -- gold coins and hammers, respectively -- by planting their metal possessions in the school garden as if they were seeds. Proud Orachifu (オラオラオラチフ) Orachifu stares intently at a sprout that's popped up, stressing the poor baby plant out! Watering the Plants (水やり) Hogator waters the plants, while Nonokurage waters...itself!? Harvest 1 (収穫①) Kuwassu's excited about how delicious all the plants look, while Mimizuzu's more interested in the soil surrounding them. Harvest 2 (収穫②) Nokokocchi decides to help bring in the plants...to its underground lair!? Arukujira's Cold Receptions (さぶさぶアルクジラ) Arukujira wants to know if everyone's "see-d" what all they've accomplished, but it seems like nobody's really "digging" its puns. Untitled Epilogue The Pokémon students use Anokusa as a makeshift basket to put all their vegetables in, causing the Grass/Ghost-Type to run away! Notes These comic strips, which are usually printed in a supplemental book that comes packaged with each issue of CoroCoro Ichiban!, were printed within the actual pages of the magazine itself.
