Gym Leader Badges
Friday, June 29th, 2001

So yesterday I go to start working on the "Mewtwo Strikes Back" comparison.  Thirty minutes later, I was up to the title screen.  I had written over a page worth of notes just for the first ten minutes or so of the movie!  So you guys are going to have to be patient on that one, because it's going to take a lot of time and work to get that thing done.  I'm up to the part where everyone gets to Myuutsu's castle, so progress is being made everyday.

To keep this from being a "just checking in" update, I went to the Places and Items section and added information about all the gym leader badges.  I've also included the Japanese names of the Hidden Machines.  Enjoy!

A new comparison?!  Can it be true!?
Thursday, June 28th, 2001

I've fixed the Episode Comparisons section (except the Jouto League pictures-that comes later), deleted the Opening Theme #1 Comparison (because it takes up a lot of space on my Envy account and it loads slowly and it was an all-around bad idea), and...drumroll please...a new comparison!  I have a comparison up of the first Mini-Movie, "Pikachu's Vacation."  I'm working on a "Mewtwo Strikes Back" comparison, but that'll take a bit longer because it's about three times longer than the Mini-Movie.

I've also gotten a new poll.  Finally ^_^.  Please vote quickly on this one, because I need the new write-up posted before mid-July to keep my "once a month" promise.

More new stuff coming soon!

Spring Summer Cleaning
Tuesday, June 26th, 2001

I've been cleaning!

  • I've fixed all the CD cover images.  So all those pictures in the CD Guide and the Movies section that didn't load before should load now.  I've also gotten information about an American CD I didn't have any information about before, the Pokemon World CD.
  • I've updated the Seiyuu List to include characters found in the first movie-Boija, Sorao, Umio, and that Pirate Trainer who battles Satoshi during the opening song.
  • I've also updated the Movie Characters page with all the updated character bios I made for the last update.  I've also added Mitsu-chan's American name.
  • Likewise, I've updated the Popular Pokemon section, now called Important Pokemon, mainly the Miscellaneous Pokemon section, with the updated bios I did for the Movie Section.  I've also updated information about some evolutions as seen in recent episodes in Japan, like Takeshi's Golbat turning into a Kurobat.  Nothing major's been added, just a preview of what to come when I get more time.
  • I've got an interview with Toshihiro Ono, artist/writer of the Pokemon:  Dengeki Pikachu manga.  It first appeared in Animerica Volume 8 #1.  I've also gotten an interview with Veronica Taylor, English voice of Ash, also reprinted from an Animerica issue (this time from Animerica Volume 8 #7).  Lots of neat behind-the-scenes info in each one.  I know there's an interview out there of Rachel Lillis (Jessie, Misty), but the Animerica I have access to has holes in the article.  If someone would like to type that up, I'd be really greatful ^_^.

That's all for now.  Next is the Episode Comparisons section!

Quick...come up  with a witty title for this update!!  Too late!
Wednesday, June 20th, 2001

Oh my God, it's finished!!  Hahahahaha!! Every page in the Movies Section has been updated, and I've even added a few pages.  Revised plot summaries, information on the characters in the fourth movie, updated character bios...there's a lot of new stuff to look at.  So have fun looking through hours and hours of work.  I wanted to get some information up on the Myuutsu CD Drama, but I really needed to get this update up.  It'll come later.

And guess what...I've only got ONE more section to fix before the site will be fully repaired!  But before I fix that section and add the first of about thirty new episode comparisons, I need to fix the CD cover images and other images and links throught the site.  Well, I'm off to college orientation. See ya soon!

Anime Section CD Guide Updates
Thursday, June 14th, 2001

Sorry, but no movies update this time.  There's a LOT that I'm working on for that section (like re-doing the entire first movie section and adding a lot of information on the fourth movie) but it's coming soon.  I worked all day Monday and Tuesday on it, and I've still got a bit to go.  But I've made some other updates to tide you over until then.

  • Either Viz has added a listing to their releases page or I missed it the first time around, but I now have the release date for the third Pokemon Adventures graphic novel on the Manga page.
  • I've also updated the Anime section.  I hope to showcase a different series each month, and now that I've said that, I'll probably fall far behind.  I'll do my best ^^;;
  • And finally, I've updated the CD Guide.  I believe I have every Japanese CD listed now, and I have all the major American ones listed.  I also have a lot more images of CD covers (thanks to Amazon.com).  Believe it or not, I found a bunch of those CD listings while searching for info on the various movie soundtracks.  So that IS proof that I'm working for you guys!

Next up is the Movies section.  For real.

*It seems that envy.nu needs the "http//" part in front of each link that leads outside this site.  So I've fixed the links in the sections I just updated and in teh Links section.  I'll do the rest with my next update.
