About the Downloads
Download period
December 25th, 2020 - March 31st, 2021
Games to which the "Dada Zarude" can be downloaded
Pocket Monsters Sword
Pocket Monsters Shield

The Mythical Pokémon cannot be downloaded to Pokémon Home or any other Pocket Monsters games
Required software versions
Software upgrades can be downloaded for free from the Nintendo eShop
Whatever the latest software version is at the time the download period starts will be what's required to receive the Mythical Pokémon listed above.

The Pocket Monsters Sword & Shield Expansion Pass, however, will not be required to receive either the "Celebi of Okoya Forest" or the "Zarude of Okoya Forest."
What you'll need
A card with a valid serial code
A wireless Internet connection
A Nintendo Account
A Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite with enough battery left over that it won't shut off in the middle of the download
A copy of Pocket Monsters Sword or Shield

※A Nintendo Switch Online account (which is different from the aforementioned Nintendo Account) is not required
How to download
A single 16-digit serial code will be printed on the back of a card you receive when you go see Pocket Monsters The Movie "Koko" in theaters.

Navigate to the Mystery Gift menu in your Pocket Monsters video game and input the serial code to receive the Mythical Pokémon.

Your Pokémon will be either be added to your current team (if you have less than six Pokémon on hand) or directly to your Pokémon PC box.

Things to remember about the gift Pokémon
You can only receive one of each Pokémon per ticket, though it is possible to obtain multiple "Dada Zarude" on the same save file by seeing the film multiple times.

These gift Pokémon cannot be downloaded to Pokémon Home or any Pocket Monsters series games other than the ones listed above.

If you've modified your game using any sort of cheat devices then "Dada Zarude" may not download correctly. Additionally, using these devices may corrupt your save data and cause you to permanently lose all your game progress.

The Zarude you receive is game data; it is not a physical item like a stuffed animal or a figurine.
Things to remember about the Serial Code
Your Nintendo Switch will need to be able to connect to the Internet in order to receive the serial code gift.

Those who wish to receive the serial code gift Pokémon will need to have created a Nintendo Account. That account will then need to be linked to the user account used when playing Pocket Monsters Sword or Pocket Monsters Shield.

Please make sure your game has been updated to the latest version.

You will not be able to re-download your gift Pokémon if you use your serial codes on another game's save file, or if you download the gift Pokémon but then delete your save data.

You will not be able to use your serial codes if the download period has passed.

If you mistakenly input a serial code 10 times then you will be temporarily locked out from entering any more codes. Wait about six hours before trying again.

More information can be found on the official movie website.

The card was illustrated by the film's director, Tetsuo Yajima (矢島哲生).
