Kitamura Kenji

The The Cocoon of Destruction and Diancie adaptation will be written and drawn by Kitamura Kenji (北村謙次). He is from Tokyo and is in his mid-20s.

Information about Mr. Kitamura is hard to come by since he's so new to the scene. He graduated from the Manga Kyoto Saga Art College several years ago. In 2012 he earned the 70th semiannual Shogakukan Newcomer Comic Award (第70回小学館新人コミック大賞) for his one-shot manga Ninifu and the Magic Restaurant (ニニフと魔法のレストラン).

Kitamura Kenji the manga artist is not to be confused with Kitamura Kenji the voice actor.
