Mezase!! Card Master (Aim to be a Card Master!!) is a one-volume series about a kid who plays the Pokemon Trading Card Game. This Yu-Gi-Oh!-esque series was published in Japan in December 2000.
The manga was never released in the U.S. most likely due to Viz's interest in Pocket Monsters-related manga being on the decline at the time. The manga also features scans of the real TCG cards, so the legality of using the English version of those cards may have been an issue between Viz and Wizards of the Coast (who owned the rights to the TCG at that time).
