Liko is a young girl who's part of the Rising Volteccers, a group of Pokémon Trainers who travels the world in their flying airship the Brave Asagi. Liko's partner is Nyahoja, a cute Grass-Type Cat Pokémon. Liko tries brushing her Pokémon and giving it toys to play with but it seems completely uninterested and so the young Trainer decides to just observe it for a while instead. At one point Liko brings Nyahoja up to her face to get a good sniff of Nyahoja's sweet aroma but ends up getting violently scratched instead! Will Liko and Nyahoja ever become friends!?

The Rising Volteccers consists of a large crew of both humans and Pokémon alike. Liko wants to contribute to the group so she tries lifting a heavy crate. Friede happens to walk by and sees Liko struggling so he suggests she go see Captain Pikachu to undergo its special training. The two work together doing squats and shadow boxing until Liko becomes physically strong enough to lift the crate by herself! The young girl goes to bed happy with a job well done, unaware that Captain Pikachu’s planning to have her train early every single morning from here on out!

Liko overhears Roy and his Hogator practicing their singing out on the deck of the Brave Asagi. They ask her to sit in on their performance as the two of them start belting out a series of “Hoge~ Hoges~” full of energy. When asked what she thinks Liko tells them their song’s a bit all over the place but it’s still really a lot of fun. Roy and Hogator are happy with this answer; that’s exactly what they were going for! An overexcited Hogator lets out an Ember attack that fries Roy’s face. Later, Hogator performs for Roy’s friends online.
