The Pocket Monsters (2019) manga is being written and drawn by Machito Gomi (五味まちと).

Pocket Monsters (2019) is Mr. Gomi's third Pocket Monsters manga, following his adaptations of 2019's Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution and 2000's Mewtwo Lives! earlier in the year. He also sometimes provides illustrations for the disks used in the Pokémon Ga-Olé! arcade game.

Before doing Pocket Monsters manga he worked on a four-panel comic series called Bakejo! ~ Welcome to the Yokai Girls' College ~
