Daisuki ♥ Pocket Monsters was written and drawn by Hinata Ayu (鮎ヒナタ). She describes herself as "a newbie manga artist for Ciao!" (ちゃおの新人漫画家です) and seems to have only started working as a professional manga artist from the second half of 2019.

(There seems to be other profiles online for a "Hinata Ayu," same kanji and everything, but at this moment it's unclear if this is the same Hinata Ayu who's working on this Pocket Monsters manga).

On her personal blog, Ms. Hinata states that she was raised on Pocket Monsters manga and anime and so getting the chance to officially draw a Pocket Monsters manga herself makes her feel both extremely happy but also a little bit strange (ポケモンのマンガやアニメをみて育ったのに、じぶんがだいすきなポケモンのマンガを描くことができて、すごくハッピーだし不思議な気持ちです 😳💓💓💓).
