 AIM:  Dogasu2000

Name:  Yamato (Japanese), Cassidy (American)

Voice Actors:  Lisa Oritz (American)

Name Meaning: Yamato was the name of a battleship used during World War II.  There's a similar type of ship named the Musashi.  Cassidy is named after the Wild West outlaw Butch Cassidy, following the pattern of Jessie and James.

Age:  Unknown

Known Relatives:  Unknown

Hometown:  Unknown

Aspirations:  To help Sakaki in his goal to rule the world with an army of pokemon.

Video Game Appearances:  None

Manga appearances:  None

First anime episode:  Episode 59, "The Secret of Raising" ("The Breeding Center Secret")

Defining anime episodes: "The Secret of Raising" ("The Breeding Center Secret"), "The Riddle of the Disappearing Pokemon" ("Pikachu Re-volts"), "Pokemon Uranai!?  Dai Ransen!" ("Fortune Hunters")

Pokemon Owned (Anime):
Yamato never really had any pokemon of her own, but she does seem to share possession of the following pokemon with Kosaburou:
Ratta, Sleep, Okorizaru, Derubiru,
Kapoeraa

Information:  Yamato is the female half of the second duo of the Rocket-Dan to appear in the anime.  The orange-haired beauty and her partner, Kosaburou, are favored by Sakaki and are given more high-priority jobs than Musashi and Kojirou.  Unfortunately for them, their schemes are always found out and the duo usually spends time in jail for their crimes.  They find a way out each time, proving the resourcefulness of "real" members of the Rocket-Dan.

Yamato has no problem showing her feelings of superiority to the lowly-ranking members, especially to Musashi.  Yamato seems to have a particular hatred for Musashi, yet at the moment no one really knows why.

Yamato is currently in jail for her involvement in the capture of the baby Lugia.

Links to Fan Pages:

The Rocket Asylum has a bunch of information about the Rocket-Dan.  One of the few character pages that's still being updated, the Rocket Asylum has bios on all of the Rocket-Dan members (minus the ones that appear in the episodes 4Kids hasn't dubbed yet), fanfics, quotes, mottos, and a lot of other stuff.  Plus, you just have to laugh at the "Pokemon Live" pictures!

Thanks to:  MewHeart for the icons, Bryon Youngblood for the pokemon information, and Encyclopedia Pokemonica for the information on the origin of Yamato's name..

Pocket Monsters was not created by me.  It was created by Satoshi Tajiri and the crew at TV-Tokyo.  Pokemon is (c) Game Freak, Nintendo, 4Kids Productions, Hasbro, Bandai, and a ton of other companies. When you have a popular anime like Pokemon, lots of people own it so it's impossible to list every company who owns a piece of Pokemon.  No infringement of copyrights is meant by the creation of the web site.  All images were gotten from official websites (Nintendo, TV-Tokyo, etc.) unless otherwise noted (I don't steal images from other sites!).
