You're in the
Lyrics page
and you have all these lyrics, so how do you get these songs?
Sure
you could download them off the Internet, but I know that all you
ethical
people out there would never dream of doing that, now would you?
That's where this guide comes in. The information here should be
useful when you're confronted by a tablefull of different Japanese
Pokemon
CD's and you don't know which one has which song. This isn't
complete
by all means, but it is a start.
The Japanese CD
Titles are
in RED, the translations of those titles
are
in GREEN, and the date the CD was
released
is in BLUE.
A special thanks
goes to Japanime
for some of the CD images. You can buy the CD's I have pictures
of
here on their site, as well as Japanese VHS videos, special trading
cards,
plushies, and more! Thanks also goes out to Amazon.com,
who supplied the images for the following CD's: Myuutsu
no Tanjou, The Rivals, and OK!
The Anime
Digital: The Pirate Anime FAQ is a guide to spotting bootleg
anime merchandise. It goes into detail of each type of product
(CD,
book, toy, clothing, etc) and tells you how to spot a fake and how to
tell
if it's the real thing. This is a very useful guide, as bootleg Pocket
Monsters stuff is abundant, so be sure to have looked this over
before
your next trip to the comic store or big anime convention.
Min'na
de Eranda Pokemon SONGU BESUTO KOREKUSHON
(The
Fan-Selected Pokemon Song Best Collection)
Released
January 1st, 1999
Re-released
March 29th, 2000 under the title "Pokemon Hit Collection"

This
neat CD has all the best songs from the first year or so of the Pocket
Monsters anime. The selection of the songs on this CD was
chosen
by Japanese Pokemon fans via a magazine poll, and they chose a good
selection
of songs to give you an idea of what the Japanese Pocket Monsters
is like. It also comes with ten TCG cards, many of them rare
(mine
came with a Lizardon, Fushigibana, and Kamex, all holofoil) out of
thirty-six
possible cards. In addition, there's a card guide, an American
Pikachu
card, and a guide on how to read the American Pikachu card. The
cover
has a picture of Pikachu jumping up surrounded by tons of CGI Monster
Balls.
The CD itself has a bunch of pictures of pokemon from the game.

Nyaasu

(Nyasu's
Party)
Released
October 27th, 1999
This
mini-CD features the ED to the Jouto League episodes. It has a
pic
of a CG-Nyasu on the front with a poster behind him that reads, in
English:
"Meowth Presents
All Night Meowth's Party
The Famous Meowth and his all stars
Featuring Musashi & Kojiro
Every MONday at Club Rocket"
Strange...see
how they use Nyasu's American name? Maybe to try to sell the CD's
to American audiences? Anyways, this mini-CD comes with a neat
Nyasu
poster (from the ED, of Nyasu on a guitar on-stage with a bunch of
pokemon
in the audience) and a TCG card of "Rocket-Dan Nyasu." Now you
can
beat your opponents with not just any old Nyasu, but the human
language-speaking
Nyasu of Musashi and Kojirou! Yay!
